摘要： A hunting arrow for tracking target animals is disclosed and described. The arrow can include a chamber. The arrow may also include a transmitter housing that is installable into the chamber. A pair of bores extending through the transmitter housing and chamber may be configured and adapted for receiving a pair of shear pins. The shear pins may secure the housing in the chamber. The transmitter housing may comprise an animal engagement member, such as a hook. The transmitter housing is ejected from the chamber when the arrow strikes a target animal and the hook stops the forward momentum of the transmitter housing with sufficient force to shear the shear pins, thereby ejecting and embedding the transmitter housing in the hide of the animal. The transmitter within the housing may broadcast the location of the animal to the hunter to enable easy tracking of the animal, if wounded.

摘要： A sound emitting trackable arrow having an elongated cylindrical shaft that includes an insert member attached at one end and a nock member attached to the other end. A wireless tracking component may be coupled with either the insert member or the nock member, with the wireless tracking component fully enclosed inside the shaft. The wireless tracking component includes a plurality of electronic components which enable it to emit an audible sound in response to receiving an alert signal wirelessly and emit a signal strength value wirelessly which enables a real time proximity determination. A discrete, remote tracking device that is adapted to provide a user interface and to communicate wirelessly with the wireless tracking component is also provided. The remote tracking device is operative to continually maintain and display a determination of the approximate distance of the arrow and selectively cause the arrow emit an audible sound.

摘要： An animal tracking device for tracking an animal shot with an arrow. The animal tracking device may include an antenna, a controller, an accelerometer switch, a battery powering the controller and/or accelerometer switch, an animal attachment component, and a housing physically connecting components of the animal tracking device. The accelerometer switch may measure an amount of G force it experiences and send an interrupt signal to the controller when the amount of G force measured is at or greater than a threshold amount for a threshold amount of time, indicating that the arrow has been shot. The controller may send wireless signals to a receiver via the antenna in response to receiving the interrupt signal. The housing may be detachably attached to the arrow. The animal attachment component may attach to an animal shot by the arrow and force the housing away from the arrow.

The controller may transmit wireless signals to a receiver via the antenna. The housing may have a first and second portion pivotally attached at a first joint. The first and second portions may also meet, but not attach with each other, at a second joint in a closed position. The first and second portions may pivot between the closed position and an open position about the first joint, may be naturally biased in the open position, and may be detachably attached in the closed position to the arrow shaft. The animal attachment component may attach to an animal shot by the arrow, forcing the housing away from the arrow.

摘要： A tracking apparatus secures a transmitting device onto a target game animal. The tracking apparatus engages with a target and separates the apparatus from the arrow. The apparatus includes a transmitting device for transmitting a signal to a receiving device; a stopping component for detaching the tracking apparatus from the arrow after the arrow collides with the target; and a securing component for securing the tracking apparatus to the target, said securing component including barbs angled towards the rear of the arrow for stopping rebound motion of the tracking apparatus after the arrow collides with the target. In one embodiment, the barbs are reinforced with reinforcing arms. In another embodiment, the securing component includes a torsion spring. In another embodiment, the stopping component includes one or more wings with a front edge facing the front of the arrow that is relatively perpendicular to the axis of the arrow.

摘要： A detachable, trackable arrow nock, comprising a proximal end for detachably coupling to a hollow distal end of an arrow shaft, a distal end for receiving a bow string, a plurality of fins for engaging the hide of an animal to prevent the nock from penetrating the hide, an electronic tracking device, and an anchor tethered to the nock, wherein the anchor is positioned within the hollow distal end of the arrow shaft when the proximal end of the nock is coupled to the distal end of the arrow shaft. As the arrow shaft moves through the animal, the nock is operable to detach from the arrow shaft when the fins engage the hide of the animal and the anchor is operable to engage internal tissues of the animal to secure the nock to the animal.
