    Abstract: A pathogen detection apparatus includes an obtainer that obtains a body temperature of a subject; a collector that collects a pathogen carried by the subject or a pathogen in air around the subject; a detector that performs detection of the pathogen collected by the collector; a reporter that reports a detection result obtained by the detector; and a controller. In a case where the body temperature of the subject obtained by the obtainer is higher than a predetermined threshold value, the controller controls at least one of the collector or the detector to shorten a time period from start of collection by the collector to report of the detection result by the reporter.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a detection device capable of detecting a low concentration of an analyte with high sensitivity. The detection apparatus according to the present disclosure comprises a metal microstructure on which a first VHH antibody having a property of binding specifically to the analyte is immobilized and which generate surface plasmon by being irradiated with excitation light, an inlet through which a second VHH antibody and a sample that may contain an analyte are introduced, wherein the second VHH antibody has a property of binding specifically to the analyte and is labeled with a fluorescent substance, a light source for irradiating the metal microstructure to which the second VHH antibody and the sample have been introduced with the excitation light, and a detection unit for detecting the analyte on the basis of fluorescence generated from the fluorescent substance by the irradiation of the excitation light.

    Abstract: A method for detecting a foreign object included in an inspection target includes acquiring first image data for the target, for which pixels each have a pixel value for a first band group including one or more wavelength bands; determining, from the first image data, one or more pixel regions that satisfy a first condition to be one or more first foreign object regions; acquiring second image data for one or more regions including the first foreign object regions, the one or more regions having pixels each of which has pixel values for a second band group including a larger number of wavelength bands than the first band group; determining, from the second image data, one or more pixel regions that satisfy a second condition to be one or more second foreign object regions, in which the foreign object is present; and outputting information regarding the second foreign object regions.

In a case where the body temperature output by the obtainer is higher than a predetermined threshold value and the detection result obtained by the detector is negative, the controller controls the detector to perform another pathogen detection operation for detecting a pathogen.
