Abstract: A method includes (a) obtaining a search word, (b) obtaining first to third concept maps including words and semantic distances between the words, (c) obtaining a first association map including degrees of association indicating how close the semantic distances included in the first and second concept maps are to each other; (d) obtaining a second association map including degrees of association indicating how close the semantic distances included in the first to third concept maps are to one another, (e) extracting, from the words as an associated word, at least one word whose difference between the degree of association with the search word included in the first association map and the degree of association with the search word included in the second association map is equal to or larger than a first threshold, and (f) outputting a result of a search based on the search word and the associated word.

Abstract: A learning system includes an output unit that outputs a first problem and a display message prompting a user to take a break, an acquisition unit that acquires an answer to the first problem from the user, an electroencephalogram measurement unit that measures an electroencephalogram of the user, and a control unit. The control unit determines whether first motivation is present on the basis of a first event-related potential included in the electroencephalogram and starting from a timing at which the first problem is output, determines whether second motivation of the user is present on the basis of a second event-related potential included in the electroencephalogram and starting from a timing at which the answer is acquired, and instructs the output unit to output a display message prompting the user to take a break if the first motivation is not present and the second motivations is not present.

Abstract: A sensor device includes a plurality of electrode chambers, a measurement chamber, and an accommodation chamber which are connected in annular relationship permitting expansion and contraction. Each of the plurality of electrode chambers has a measurement electrode. The measurement chamber has a biological potential measurement circuit which is connected with each measurement electrode via electrically conductive wiring for measuring biological potential of the user by using the measurement electrode. The accommodation chamber has an internal protrusion. The wiring which connects at least one measurement electrode and the biological potential measurement circuit is provided around the protrusion, the wiring having a length which enables longitudinal feeding in accordance with an amount of elongation when the sensor device is elongated. A maximum clearance S between the accommodation chamber and an adjacent chamber is greater than a maximum clearance R between any two adjacent chambers.

Abstract: A program generating method acquires a first image set, and retrieves a similar image that is similar to a processing target image included in the first image set, from a database. For each of N number of second image sets in the database, an integrated similarity of an image included in the second image set with respect to the processing target image is calculated based on a first similarity between the image included in the second image set and the processing target image, a second similarity between the second image set and the first image set, and the completeness of the first image set, and the similar image is retrieved based on the integrated similarity.

Abstract: An input image being displayed is acquired. A database is accessed to search for an image similar to the input image from images stored in the database. A candidate script associated with the similar image is retrieved from the database, and a decisive degree of the candidate script is calculated based on a result of the search for the similar image. A presentation program is generated by changing a value of a parameter included in the candidate script depending on the decisive degree. The input image is changed by executing the generated presentation program.
