    Abstract: A plurality of controlling circuits control a plurality of respective shutdown switches to turn ON/OFF. A first signal system transmits, in a direction from one end of the plurality of controlling circuits to the other end of the plurality of controlling circuits, a significant signal during a normal operation and a non-significant signal when the operation needs to be stopped. The second signal system transmits, in a direction from the other end of the plurality of controlling circuits to the one end of the plurality of controlling circuits, a significant signal during the normal operation and a non-significant signal when the operation needs to be stopped. The other end of the plurality of controlling circuits transmits the non-significant signal through second signal system when a signal received through first signal system is the non-significant signal.

    Abstract: In impact detection device to be mounted on power storage pack, an impact detection circuit compares detection values of three axes output from a three-axis accelerometer sensor with thresholds set to different values according to mechanical characteristics of power storage pack, and detects an impact outside an allowable range. For example, power storage pack includes wound cylindrical cells, and a threshold of an axis in a direction along a winding axis may be set to a value smaller in absolute value than thresholds of other two axes.

    Abstract: In a power storage system, each of a plurality of power storage modules includes at least one cell, and the plurality of power storage modules are connected in series. A management device manages the plurality of power storage modules. Each of the plurality of power storage modules contains a first insulation unit having a primary side and a secondary side that are insulated from each other. The first insulation unit outputs a signal containing information of at least one cell to a communication line. The signal is referenced to predetermined standard voltage between a voltage at one end and a voltage at the other end of the plurality of power storage modules. The management device contains a second insulation unit having a primary side and a secondary side that are insulated from each other, and a circuit unit insulated from the communication line by the second insulation unit.

    Abstract: A battery management system includes a circuit board having a first region provided with a voltage measuring unit, a second region provided with a controller, a relay region that is disposed at a first insulation distance from the first region and at a second insulation distance from the second region, and a third region provided with an interface connecting unit. The third region is disposed at a third insulation distance from the second region. The third insulation distance is shorter than each of the first and the second insulation distances. The battery management system further includes a first insulating device connecting between the fist region and the relay region, a second insulating device connecting between the relay region and the second region, and a third insulating device connecting between the second region and the third region.
