Abstract:
A cosmetic or dermatological article may include: a medium in the form of at least one sheet of a material that is soluble in water at a temperature lower than 20° C.; and at least one cosmetic or dermatological compound carried by the medium.
Abstract:
A water/oil/water triple emulsion comprising an aqueous external phase and a W/O primary emulsion comprising an oily phase and an aqueous internal phase, which comprises at least one partially or completely crosslinked organopolysiloxane elastomer comprising a polyoxyethylenated and/or polyoxypropylenated chain. The emulsion may be used, for exampls, for cleansing and/or treating and/or protecting the skin and/or mucous membranes and/or keratinous fibers.

Abstract:
A fluid composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase and comprising up to 0.5% by weight of active material with respect to the total weight of the composition of at least one acrylic terpolymer obtained from a carboxylic acid comprising &agr;,&bgr;-ethylenic unsaturation, from a non-surface-active monomer comprising ethylenic unsaturation other than (a), and from a non-ionic urethane monomer which is the reaction product of a monohydric non-ionic amphiphilic compound with an isocyanate comprising monoethylenic unsaturation. The composition may be used, for example, for caring for, removing make-up from, cleansing and/or scenting the skin, hair and/or lips. The composition may also be used for impregnating fabrics intended for cleansing and/or removing make-up from the skin, lips and/or eyes.
Abstract:
Compositions suitable for cosmetic and/or dermatological use which contain a cosmetic and/or dermatological active agent, at least 20% of a fatty phase, a fatty acid ester of a C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 carbohydrate and polyol.
Abstract:
A device for creating a specific but temporary aquatic passage in an artificial or natural river. The device includes bases which rest on the bottom of a river and elements which extend upwardly from the bases. The bases have holes formed therein which receive rods that extend downwardly from the elements. Placement of the bases in the river bed, and subsequent installation of elements into the bases, allows obstacles to be created in the river which are desirable for canoeing and kayaking.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a substantially dry cosmetic article for dyeing keratin materials, comprising a porous flexible substrate, and at least one direct dyes and/or direct dye precursor in powder form, which are capable of dyeing the keratin material via heat transfer, the substrate and the direct dyes or direct dye precursors being non-covalently bonded to the substrate. Disclosed herein is also a method for dyeing keratin materials, for example, human keratin materials, via dry heat transfer, using the dry heat-transfer cosmetic article.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an article containing (A) a water-insoluble substrate and (B) containing an aqueous phase and N-(3-chloroallyl)hexaminium chloride. According to one preferred embodiment of the invention, the composition also contains at least one C1-C4 alkyl para hydroxybenzoate and/or at least one ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid salt. The article may especially constitute a wipe for cleansing and/or removing makeup from the facial and/or body skin, and also for removing makeup from the eyes. The wipe may be in the form of a moist or dry wipe.
Abstract:
Cosmetic composition comprising particles of melamine-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde resin and its uses. The present application relates to a composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium, at least one oily phase and particles of melamine-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde resin, to the use of the said composition, especially as a cosmetic composition for caring for and/or making up the skin, in particular for softening defects of the relief of the skin, such as microrelief features, wrinkles or pores, while conferring a natural appearance on the skin, and to its use in treating greasy skin. The particles advantageously have a number-average size ranging from approximately 0.1 to 20 &mgr;m. The composition of the invention can be anhydrous or can be provided in the form of a water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsion. The invention also relates to the use of particles of melamine-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde resin as mattifying agent in a cosmetic composition.
Abstract:
Topically applicable UVA photoprotective cosmetic/dermatological compositions comprise an effective photoprotecting amount of at least one UVA screening agent substituted by at least one optionally neutralized sulfo functional group, and an effective UVA photoprotecting-enhancing amount of at least one otherwise non-UVA photoprotecting iron chelating agent, thereby imparting a synergistic protection factor (PF) effect thereto, in a cosmetically/dermatologically acceptable topical vehicle, carrier or diluent therefor.
