    摘要: A tape deck, which incorporates a non-contacting take-up reel rotation sensing means and associated sensing circuit for enabling the capstan and take-up reel drive mechanism. A magnetic field sensor is positioned across an air gap from a take-up reel mounted magnet to sense the pulsating magnetic field and control operation of the sensing circuit. A magnetic field interrupting means is caused to assume a non-interrupting position when the take-up reel is rotated in its proper direction and to assume a magnetic field interrupting position between the magnetic and the magnetic field sensor when the take-up reel and magnet are caused to be rotated in the opposite direction.

    摘要: This specification discloses a method and apparatus for testing batteries in which a diagnostic cycle includes a discharge cycle and a charge cycle of five charging pulses and another discharge cycle. The discharge cycle durations are respectively one and twenty seconds. A typical duration for the charge cycle is 80 milliseconds. A plurality of voltages measured during this diagnostic cycle are used to evaluate five arithmetic functions. The results of the evaluation of three of the functions are compared against predetermined limits to determine battery quality. Additionally, the results of the evaluation of the remaining two functions are compared with one another to establish whether or not the battery is defective. This test provides a substantial advantage over prior art tests in that the test is substantially independent of battery temperature and battery size.

    摘要: The invention is an apparatus for automatically injecting eggs with a desired fluid such as a medical vaccine. The inventon eliminates the pumping of fluids through conventional fluid handling systems and thereby increases the accuracy and precision of volume delivery while eliminating such of the possiblity of contamination of the fluid and the system. The apparatus comprises a syringe having a delivery tip and a portion for containing a predetermined quantity of fluid, a plunger operatively associated with the syringe for intaking and delivering fluids through the delivery tip, a platform for aligning a fluid reservoir with the delivery tip of the syringe so that fluid from the reservoir may be intaken through the delivery tip and into the fluid containing portion, a punch for forming a small opening in the shell of an egg, and horizontally disposed and vertically moveable plates for moving the delivery tip of the syringe through the opening in an egg formed by the punch so that the plunger can deliver a fluid through the delivery tip, through the opening and into the egg to be treated by the fluid.
