A system enables power output from a power pedestal. The system includes a number of power pedestals, a card reader structured to receive credit or debit card information from a credit or debit card, and a first interface to another system structured to approve a transaction based upon the credit or debit card information. A processor cooperates with the card reader and the first interface to initiate and receive approval of the transaction from the other system. A user interface device cooperates with the processor to input a time duration to power one of the number of power pedestals responsive to the received approval. A second interface to the number of power pedestals cooperates with the processor and is structured to enable power output from such one of the number of power pedestals for the inputted time duration.

The methods comprise, in pertinent part, selecting an elongated light and interposing a number of lens rings and light deflectors which correspond to the length of the selected elongated light. Also provided is a lighting bollard assembly manufactured according to the methods of the present invention.

The elongated housing has a first end and a second end disposed opposite and distal from the first end. The base assembly includes a power pedestal base member having a first end and a second end disposed opposite and distal from the first end. The second end of the base member is structured to be coupled to a platform. A connecting mechanism, such as a hinge assembly, is disposed at or about the first end of the base member and removably couples the first end of the elongated housing to the base member without a number of separate fasteners, thereby facilitating removal of the elongated housing from the base member. A vehicle power pedestal includes a pedestal member having a base structured to be fixed to a platform, and an enclosure extending from the base. A plurality of input power terminals are mounted to the pedestal member and structured to be electrically connected to a power source. A number of output power receptacles are mounted to the enclosure. Each of a number of circuit interrupters includes a line terminal electrically connected to one of the input power terminals and a load terminal electrically connected to one of the number of output power receptacles. A surge suppression module is mounted within the enclosure and is structured to suppress a transient voltage associated with the input power terminals and the number of output power receptacles.
