摘要： An electronic apparatus such as an audio apparatus, television signal receiver, or other apparatus provides an equalizer interface that enables equalizer settings to be adjusted via acoustic user feedback. According to an exemplary embodiment, the electronic apparatus includes a sound generator for generating a first tone for a first frequency band. A processor enables a user to adjust a first volume level of the first tone. A memory stores the first volume level for the first frequency band. A volume controller applies the first volume level to output signals in the first frequency band.

摘要： The invention relates to a wireless home gateway apparatus and methods of wirelessly delivering audio and/or video programs between a home gateway and a client and mitigating interference thereon. Specifically, the present invention relates to transmitting an audio/video program on two white space channels and alternately stopping transmission on one of said channels to search for external transmissions on the white space channel. The present invention permits the wireless home gateway to continuously transmit an audio/video program to a client while periodically searching for transmitters on each of the white space channels.

摘要： A method of frame sync detection is described. A first and second differential correlation of a data stream is calculated, at a plurality of delay and conjugate multipliers. The first and second differential correlations are convolved with a previous set of differential correlations. A correlation peak is calculated, at a sync detector, using the convolved differential correlations, to detect a frame sync.

摘要： A cable network tap comprises a first port for coupling to an upstream portion of a cable network and for receiving a downstream signal; a second port for coupling to a downstream portion of the cable network and receiving an upstream signal; and a filter for filtering at least one of the downstream signal and the upstream signal. The filter has a bandwidth that is adjustable in accordance with a plurality of cable network bandwidth configurations, each cable network bandwidth configuration allocating bandwidth differently between upstream communications and downstream communications over at least a portion of the cable network.

The input packet buffer generates a status signal indicating whether it is: full, empty, or neither empty nor full. An output packet stream generator is coupled to the input packet stream buffer and responsive to an output clock signal, and generates the output packet stream in synchronism with the output clock signal. A variable output clock signal generator generates the output clock signal responsive to a control signal, and a control signal generator generates the control signal in response to the status signal.

摘要： A digital high definition television receiver equalizer system includes an input adaptive feed forward filter (FFF 20), a carrier recovery network (46), and a slicer (40) in addition to an adaptive decision feedback filter (DFF, 30) for removing intersymbol interference. At the beginning of a blind equalizing interval the FFF is not adapted and the DFF operates as a linear filter with adapted coefficients for equalizing post-ghosts. Afterwards in the blind interval the FFF coefficients are adapted blindly for equalizing pre-ghosts. In a subsequent decision-directed mode the slicer output is used for adapting both the FFF and DFF non-linearly.

A current phase, at a phase interpolator, between two phase estimation base points. Data stream delays within the phase detector are matched with delays within the phase interpolator.
