    摘要: An electrical connector includes a front wire terminal and a rear wire terminal. The front wire terminal and the rear wire terminal are configured to couple to a conductor of a cable. A front signal trace is coupled to the front wire terminal. A rear signal trace is coupled to the rear wire terminal. The front signal trace is positioned adjacent to the rear signal trace. A front mating contact is coupled to the front signal trace. A rear mating contact is coupled to the rear signal trace. The front signal trace conveys an electrical signal between the front wire terminal and the front mating contact. The rear signal trace conveys an electrical signal between the rear wire terminal and the rear mating contact. An electro-mechanical compensation is positioned between the front signal trace and the rear signal trace to control crosstalk between the front signal trace and the rear signal trace.

The contact sub-assembly includes a plurality of mating conductors that are configured to transmit signal current along an interconnection path. Each of the open-ended conductors is electrically connected to a corresponding mating conductor of the plurality of mating conductors. The open-ended conductors are configured to capacitively couple select mating conductors thereby providing a compensation region that is electrically parallel to the interconnection path.

The connector includes a printed circuit that interconnects the mating conductors to terminal contacts. The printed circuit includes first and second shielding rows of conductor vias that are located between end portions of the printed circuit and are electrically connected to the mating conductors. The first and second shielding rows extend along first and second row axes, respectively, which extend substantially parallel to each other. The printed circuit also includes outer terminal vias electrically connected to the terminal contacts. Each end portion has terminal vias therein that are distributed in a direction along the first and second row axes. The printed circuit also includes a pair of shielded vias located between the first and second shielding rows and along a central-pair axis that extends substantially parallel to the first and second row axes.

The receptacle connector includes a housing having a mating end, an opening extending into the housing through the mating end, and a latch wall. The latch wall extends a length into the housing along a central longitudinal latch wall axis.     摘要: A jack assembly is provided and includes a jack housing and a contact sub-assembly joined to a rear end of the housing. The contact sub-assembly includes a plurality of conductor channels that each hold an insulation displacement contact (IDC) therein. The jack assembly also includes a connector cap that is mounted to the jack housing and is formed from a non-conductive material having conductive particles dispersed therein. The connector cap has a body arranged to at least partially cover the contact sub-assembly. The body has an inner surface and a plurality of crosswalls projecting outwardly from the inner surface. Each crosswall has a gap and is positioned to be inserted into one of the plurality of conductor channels such that the IDC fits within the gap.
