摘要: The present disclosure relates to a fiber optic retention device to properly accommodate for cable management arrangements and schemes in telecommunication infrastructures that are massive in scale and/or require subsequent adaptation of the infrastructures. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with a door that snap mounts to the body with two snaps and pivot posts. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with a door that snap mounts to the body and is retained by a living hinge on an opposite end. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with flexible fingers that retain the cables within the opening. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with a door which moves parallel to a front opening. The door includes an angled surface to allow cables pressed onto the angled surface to move the door against a biasing member.

摘要: A tray assembly for a fiber optic enclosure includes a mounting bracket having a first bracket, a second bracket and a divider panel. The first bracket is configured for mounting to a fiber optic enclosure. The first bracket defines a pivot axis. The second bracket is engaged to the first bracket and is adapted to pivot about the pivot axis between a closed position and an open position. The divider panel is engaged to the first bracket and is adapted to pivot about the pivot axis between a closed position and an open position. The tray assembly further includes a first set of trays engaged to the second bracket and a second set of trays engaged to the divider panel. The divider panel is disposed between the first and second sets of trays.

摘要: An optical fiber cable includes a first cable segment; a second cable segment; and a splice enclosure. The first cable segment can have a different configuration than the second cable segment. The splice enclosure is coupled to the strength member and strength component of the first cable segment and the second cable segment. One example splice enclosure includes a first enclosure member and a second enclosure member. The strength component can be glued to one end of the splice enclosure and the strength member can be clamped or otherwise retained by another end of the splice enclosure.

摘要: A fiber access terminal for mounting to the end of a fiber distribution cable and configured to be extended through a buried conduit. The fiber distribution cable may include a plurality of optical fibers and enters a housing of the terminal through a base. The terminal also includes a plurality of fiber optic connectors or adapters extending through the housing in generally the same direction as the fiber distribution cable for connecting to optical fiber customer drop cables. The terminal includes a cover and the housing defining an interior and the interior includes a cable slack storage arrangement providing bend radius protection for the optical fiber cables within the interior. 摘要: A fiber optic closure includes optical adapters located within an enclosure, a ledge located within the enclosure between the optical adapters and a cable port, and a strain-relief bracket located within the enclosure at the ledge. The strain-relief bracket defines channels that align with channels defined in the ledge. Each of the channels of the strain-relief bracket is narrower than a fiber optic connector that is suitable to be plugged into one of the optical adapters. The strain-relief bracket provides support ledges between the channels that inhibit fiber optic connectors from being pulled out of the optical adapters.

The terminal further includes a plurality of adapters disposed on the cover. A fiber routing tray having a top panel and a bottom panel is disposed in an interior cavity. The fiber routing tray includes a storage space defined between the top and bottom panels for storing a length of optical fiber. A method for installing a terminal includes providing a terminal having a housing defining an interior cavity. A cable is pulled from the interior cavity of the housing. The cable is spliced to a fiber distribution cable with a splice. The cable is inserted back into the interior cavity. A spliced end of the cable, a spliced end of the fiber distribution cable and the splice are inserted in a retention device.
