摘要: Mobile terminal with ergonomic imaging functions. The present invention, by way of example embodiments, provides for a mobile terminal with ergonomic imaging or camera functions. A single display can be used, for example in portrait mode while terminal functions are being used and in landscape mode while imaging functions are being used. The change between the two orientations can be accomplished automatically. In some embodiments, the capability is also provided to process an image for assignment to a terminal function, where the image has at least one display attribute that makes it at least partly unsuitable for use with the terminal function. The processing may include resizing, cropping, and/or rotating the image. This processing can be accomplished for example, so that a landscape image can be viewed conveniently in a portrait orientation.

摘要: The present invention broadly comprises a stator and clutch assembly in a torque converter. The stator has a segment radially disposed between stator blades and a stator axis. The one-way clutch has a plate connected to a hub. The segment forms a portion of the clutch and the stator is axially displaceable to control operation of the clutch. A displacement element urges the stator in a first axial direction. The stator is arranged to move in a second axial direction, opposite the first axial direction, in response to pressure from fluid in the torque converter. In some aspects, the displacement element is selected from the group consisting of a coil spring and a wave spring. In some aspects, the one-way clutch is arranged to disengage when the stator is sufficiently displaced in the first direction and to engage when the stator is sufficiently displaced in the second direction.

摘要: A method for using speech analysis to detect speech pathologies can begin with registration of a patient with a speech-based health monitor. A speech segment baseline representing an initial state of the patient's speech system can be established for the patient. When prompted, the patient can submit a speech segment representing a current state of the patient's speech system to the speech-based health monitor. The speech-based health monitor can analyze the submitted speech segment using the established speech segment baseline and/or a speech segment history that comprises speech segments previously submitted by the patient. Based upon said analysis, satisfaction of a health alert definition can be determined. A health alert definition can define an action performed by the speech-based health monitor when its associated triggering conditions are satisfied. The action associated with the at least one satisfied health alert definition can then be executed.

摘要: A system for generating video images and corresponding audio of multiple parties engaged in a video conference is provided. The system includes multiple voice transducers for receiving voice signals from the multiple parties and a video camera for capturing moving images of one of the multiple parties who is speaking. The system further includes a processor in communication with the voice transducers and video camera. The processor determines respective distances and angles between the party who is speaking and each of the multiple voice transducers. Additionally, the processor identifies a location of the party who is speaking relative to the video camera based on the determined respective distances and angles. Based on the identified location, the processor selects a portion of a video frame produced by video camera and processes the selected portion to mitigate optical distortion and generate an overall picture in which the party speaking does not appear unnaturally small relative to the overall picture.
