In a method for optimizing the transmission of signals, especially video signals, over a channel with a predetermined channel data rate after source encoding for data reduction and channel encoding, in which redundancy is added to the source-encoded signals for error control protection, at least one quality parameter of the transmitted and decoded signals is measured. As a function of the measured quality parameter, the relationship between the source accuracy of the source encoding and the added redundancy is changed in opposite directions to optimize the transmission.

A method for receiving radio signals in a mobile station, and a mobile station for sending and receiving radio signals are proposed. The method and the mobile station have the aim of correcting predistorted code-spread and phase-modulated radio signals with respect to a phase error. In this context, in the receiver of the mobile station, the phase is determined for the radio signals, in order to carry out a phase demodulation, and the phases are mapped in a preselected phase zone and averaged, in order to formulate therefrom a phase correction factor, by which the code-despread radio signals are multiplied in order to correct the phase error. The method according to the present invention therefore improves the data detection of the received radio signals.

A missile head has a shroud which forms its tip and which can be detached in its totality during flight from the fuselage of the missile. The missile head further has a rear part, which is connected to the fuselage, and a front nose, which can be disconnected from the rear part and forms the tip. A separating device separates the rear part from the fuselage and the nose from the rear part during flight. A physically small shroud can be achieved, and damage to the fuselage of the missile by separation of the shroud can be prevented, if the nose is split into at least two parts and the separating device is prepared to split the nose into these two parts during flight.

A method for transmission of data signals between a master station and multiple slave stations, as well as a master station and a slave station are provided, permitting distortion of predistorted data signals. Data signals are transmitted between the master station and multiple slave stations via wireless channels, data signals for different slave stations being spread using different codes in the master station, a predistortion of the data signals to be transmitted being performed, and in predistortion the transmission properties of all wireless channels and the different codes are considered. The data signals to be transmitted are predistorted by filtering in the master station.
