摘要： A tamper indicating closure for use with a container having a neck with an opening in which at least a portion of the closure is transparent. A destructible seal is bonded to the container neck providing a hermetic seal which is visible through the closure to indicate package integrity or tampering. In some embodiments, a transparent insert member is provided through which the seal element is visible, and after removal of the seal element, the insert member serves to reseal the closure to the container neck. In some embodiments, access is obtained to the container by unthreading and removing the closure from the container neck and puncturing the destructible seal element. In other embodiments, the seal element is bonded to the flat closure top or the insert so that the seal element is fractured upon initial opening movement of the closure to remove it from the container neck.

The automatically opening fitment is comprised of a cap which is threadably attached to the fitment and which has a depending cam extending downward from the top wall. The fitment is comprised of a annular sidewall which defines a pouring zone and which provides a boundary for a hinged flap. The flap has an upwardly extending cam follower which is engaged by the cam of the cap such that when the cap is removed from the fitment, the cam initially applies a horizontal force on the cam follower to open the package to which the fitment is attached to.

摘要： A container closure has a generally planar base (2) with an aperture (5) therein which is adapted to be mounted on a wall of a container to surround an aperture therein with the two apertures in register. A flap (3) is connected to the base for movement between a closed position in which the flap overlies the base and an open position in which the base is exposed. A plug (7) formed on the flap enters into and closes the base aperture when the flap is in the closed position and a removable film strip (4) is detachably mounted on the outer surface of the base to cover and close the base aperture. The film is so constructed that it can extend around the plug when the plug is located in the base aperture.

摘要： A child-resistant cap and neck finish for a container. The cap has a disc-like top and a depending skirt. The cap skirt and container neck have mating threads, which may be single or multi-start. The cap skirt has a lower, generally annular, or slightly oval locking collar that is connected to the threaded skirt only by flexible webs. The cap skirt and collar are unitary. The collar and the container neck have cooperating child-resistant means which are disengaged by squeezing the collar radially inwardly from opposite sides to bulge it outwardly in the direction normal to the direction of squeezing. The child-resistant elements on the collar are thereby moved out of engagement with those on the container neck and the cap may be turned in a retrograde direction.

摘要： Child-resistant locking means for a twist-action cap for a container. The locking means has two cooperating parts. There is an abutment on the container near, but spaced radially from, the container neck and a tab on the cap which engages the abutment and prevents retrograde rotation of the cap. The tab is flexed inwardly in order to be moved past the abutment both when the cap is screwed onto the container neck and when it is desired to remove the cap from the container neck.
