摘要: A telecommunication distribution frame is provided for optical fibre of an incoming cable. Primary and secondary flexibility suites include joined blown fibre tubes routed as desired within the installation. A continuous blown fibre unit may extend through the joined blown fibre tubes. A blown fibre tube flexibility module may have a patching panel which may be provided with connectors. Above the panel may be a set of bend control vanes or mandrels one for each of the connector sites in the panel. Patching tubes may pass down and out through an aperture at the back of the module.

摘要: A telecommunication distribution frames comprising a switch connected to an optical fibre of an incoming cable, terminated at a primary flexibility suite, via a secondary flexibility suite, where the primary and secondary flexibility suites include means for routing joined blown fibre tubes within the installation. A continuous blown fibre unit extending through the joined blown fibre tubes. A blown fibre tube flexibility module (14) has a patching panel (11), which may be provided with connectors. Above the panel (11) are a set of bend control vanes or mandrels (24), one for each of the connector sites in the panel. Patching tubes may pass down and out through the aperture (99) at the back of the module.

摘要: An embodiment in accordance with the present invention enables storing in a memory, multi-bit data corresponding to analog signals read from a medium before being converted to single-bit data as recorded data. In an embodiment of the present invention, an AD converter is configured to convert analog signals from a magnetic disk to multi-bit data. A buffer circuit holds successively multi-bit data transferred from the AD converter toward a Viterbi decoder, and outputs the held plural multi-bit data in parallel. A SRAM for ECC is used for storing multi-bit data transferred from the buffer circuit.

摘要: A method of building a statistical shape model by automatically establishing correspondence between a set of two dimensional shapes or three dimensional shapes, the method comprising: a) determining a parameterisation of each shape, building a statistical shape model using the parameterisation, using an objective function to provide an output which indicates the quality of the statistical shape model; performing step a) repeatedly for different parameterisations and comparing the quality of the resulting statistical shape models using output of the objective function to determine which parameterisation provides the statistical shape model having the best quality, wherein the output of the objective function is a measure of the quantity of information required to code the set of shapes using the statistical shape model.

摘要: A removable service module in a printer service station periodically interacts with a print cartridge, and is sized for proper installation in a matching service carriage slot. Upper and lower boundary guides on the service carriage prevent an unmatched or wrongly positioned service module from fitting through a slot entrance and becoming seated into a completed mounting position.

摘要: A method for servicing an inkjet printhead without removing the printhead from a carriage of the printer, wherein a controlled pressure differential is generated across the nozzle plate of the printhead to cause the formation of a controlled puddle of ink on the outside of the nozzle plate. Ink is then fired into the puddle through the nozzles of the printhead. The puddle may then be drawn back into the printhead through the nozzles. Alternatively the puddle is generated, is maintained for a predetermined period of time and then is withdrawn into the printhead without ink being fired from the nozzles.
