Abstract: Systems and methods for visualization and troubleshooting of a distributed Wi-Fi network, implemented through one of a mobile application and a web page, include, responsive to obtaining data from the distributed Wi-Fi network, providing a map of the distributed Wi-Fi network based on the obtained data, wherein the map includes a first icon designating a gateway node, one or more second icons each designating one or more nodes, and connectors between the gateway node, wherein the gateway node and the one or more nodes are in a tree topology; providing a visualization in the map based on a current operational status of the distributed Wi-Fi network from the obtained data, wherein the visualization comprises a plurality of visual indicators of the current operational status; and providing notifications based on the current operational status.

Abstract: Systems and methods include, responsive to a Wi-Fi client device providing a password for a zone of a Wi-Fi network, determining a status of the Wi-Fi client device; when the status is unknown, placing the client device in a holding area associated with the zone, wherein the client device is connected to the Wi-Fi network while in the holding area and has restricted access that is less than full access to the zone in an allowed zone; responsive to placing the client device in the holding area, causing a notification to an administrator that the client device is in the holding area; and with the client device in the holding area, one of moving the Wi-Fi client device to the allowed area, moving the client device to a rejected area for the zone, and leaving the client device in the holding zone, based on any input or lack thereof.

Abstract: A Wi-Fi network includes one or more access point devices configured to connect to one or more devices; wherein the Wi-Fi network is designated by a Service Set Identifier (SSID); wherein each Wi-Fi client device accesses the Wi-Fi network using the SSID and a key of a plurality of keys each being a password or certificate for the Wi-Fi network; and wherein each of the plurality of keys designates an access zone of a plurality of access zones each defining rules for network and/or device access such that the one or more access point devices provide selective access based on which of the plurality of keys is used for each of the one or more devices.
