Abstract: An intraoral scanner includes an image capturing device and a processor. A method of operating the intraoral scanner includes the image capturing device sequentially capturing M images of a buccal bite, the processor generating M sets of buccal bite point clouds according to the M images, the processor matching the M sets of buccal bite point clouds to generate a bite model, when the number of data points of the bite model exceeds a first threshold, the processor computing P sets of bite feature descriptors of the bite model, when a predetermined quantity of bite feature descriptors in a set of bite feature descriptors of the P sets of bite feature descriptors exceeds a second threshold, the processor performing a registration on an upper arch model and a lower arch model to the buccal bite mode to generate a full mouth model.

Abstract: A barcode decoding method includes steps of (a) capturing an image of a barcode; (b) analyzing the image to recognize a data region of the barcode; (c) decoding the data region to obtain a codeword matrix, wherein the codeword matrix includes a plurality of codewords; (d) performing an error correction for the codeword matrix; (e) when the codeword matrix fails to pass the error correction, repeating steps (a) to (c), updating the codeword matrix according to a number of occurrence times of each codeword at an identical position of the codeword matrix, and repeating step (d) for the codeword matrix after updating; and (f) when the codeword matrix passes the error correction, decoding the codeword matrix.

Abstract: A method of operating an intraoral scanner. The intraoral scanner includes an image capturing device and a processor. The method includes the image capturing device sequentially capturing M images along a first dental arch, the processor establishing a first arch model of the first dental arch according to the M images, the image capturing device sequentially capturing N images along a straight-line path from a first anchor to a second anchor on the first dental arch, the processor generating first coordinates of the first anchor and second coordinates of the second anchor according to the N images, and the processor calibrating the first arch model according to the first coordinates and the second coordinates. The first anchor is located at one side of a dental midline of the first dental arch. The second anchor is located at the other side of the dental midline of the first dental arch.

Abstract: A method for generating a three-dimensional image includes capturing a set of color images of an object, generating a first point cloud according to at least the set of color images, generating a second point cloud by performing a filtering operation to the first point cloud according to the set of color images, selectively performing a pairing operation using the second point cloud and a target point cloud to generate pose information, and combining the first point cloud and the target point cloud according to the pose information to update the target point cloud to generate the three-dimensional image of the object. The set of color images is related to color information of the object. The relativity of the second point cloud and the rigid surface is higher than the relativity of the second point cloud and the non-rigid surface.
