Abstract: A user equipment (UE) registers on a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) and, while in an idle mode, receives a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (MBMS) service. The UE determines whether to perform a periodic network reselection search for a higher priority PLMN while in the idle mode, wherein the UE determines whether to perform the periodic network reselection search based on reception of the MBMS service. The UE may postpone the periodic network reselection search for a period of time while the UE receives the MBMS service in the idle mode. The UE may postpone the periodic network reselection search for a period of time while the UE receives the MBMS service in the idle mode. The UE may interleave the periodic network reselection search with the reception of transmission bursts of the MBMS service, the search being performed on frequencies other than that of the MBMS transmission.

Abstract: A method for reacquiring a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) after loss of a connection that includes: utilizing a radio frequency (RF) chain of a mobile communication device to receive a MBMS service of interest on a first subscription; identifying a loss of a connection to the first subscription receiving the MBMS service of interest; retrieving, from a memory operably connected to the RF chain, a plurality of frequencies associated with the first subscription, the plurality of frequencies communicating the MBMS service of interest; and attempting reacquisition of the MBMS service of interest over the first subscription on one of the retrieved plurality of frequencies prior to attempting to establish a connection on other frequencies not associated with the MBMS service of interest.

A first wireless communication device may transmit, to a second wireless communication device and a third wireless communication device, an indication that the first wireless communication device is in a ringing state based at least in part on a first call message associated with the second wireless communication device and a second call message received from the third wireless communication device. The second call message may be received while the first wireless communication device is in the ringing state due to the first call message. The first wireless communication device may selectively proceed based on at least one of the first call message or the second call message in response to user input that indicates whether to accept at least one of the first call message, the second call message, or both the first call message and the second call message.
