摘要: A method and apparatus for efficiently performing measurements during a connected mode in a wireless communication system is disclosed. For example, the method and apparatus may include receiving, at a user equipment (UE), a Radio Resource Control (RRC) Reconfiguration message including a plurality of measurement objects from a network entity to identify frequencies during a measurement procedure; receiving, at the UE, one or more neighbor discovery expression messages, each neighbor discovery expression message including a neighbor measurement object and being received from a respective neighbor UE; determining, by the UE, whether the plurality of measurement objects of the RRC Reconfiguration message satisfy a measurement capability threshold; selecting, by the UE, a portion of the plurality of measurement objects of the RRC Reconfiguration message; and performing, by the UE, the measurement procedure for each measurement object of the portion of the plurality of measurement objects.

摘要: The aspects described herein provide a user equipment (UE) for wireless communication with improved cell reselection performance A UE receives cell information for a plurality of cells and processes the received cell information to determine one or more cells of the plurality of cells having enabled power-saving features, based on an acquisition database. The UE prioritizes an order of cell selection, using the processed cell information, based on one or more cells having a largest number of enabled power-saving features. The UE then selectively communicates with at least one cell, based on the prioritized order, when the UE is in a configured operating condition.

摘要: Various aspects related to enabling data sharing between devices based on various parameters associated with the devices and/or that potentially affect the quality of requested service, are described. In an aspect, a first UE receives a request for a data service from a second UE, sends a report including a set of parameters measured by the first UE to the second UE, determines whether to operate as a hotspot to provide the data service based on the set of parameters, and provides the data service upon determining to operate as the hotspot. In another aspect, a first UE is configured to send a request for a data service to a second UE, receive one or more parameters measured by the second UE, determine whether the first UE remains interested in receiving the requested data service based on the received parameters, and receive the requested data service through the second UE.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a duration of time that the UE dwells on a beam. The UE may update a data structure, stored in memory of the UE, to add or modify a stored duration value associated with the beam based at least in part on determining the duration of time that the UE dwells on the beam. The UE may determine that a condition associated with the stored duration value is satisfied. The UE may modify a priority of the beam in connection with a beam selection procedure based at least in part on determining that the condition associated with the stored duration value is satisfied. 摘要: The disclosure generally relates to providing a user with information regarding expected call connectivity and/or expected call quality prior to and/or during a call. For example, according to various aspects, a methodology that a wireless device can implement to predict call connectivity and/or quality may comprise measuring a current signal strength for at least one radio access technology (RAT) and mapping the current signal strength to a signal strength space division having multiple regions, wherein the multiple regions are each associated with an expected voice call connectivity and an expected data call connectivity. As such, user feedback information that indicates the expected voice call connectivity and the expected data call connectivity may be presented prior to receiving a request to initiate a call from the user.
