Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a beam used for communicating with a network entity, the beam associated with multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) including a reference BWP with a first frequency. The UE may receive a BWP configuration from the network entity, the BWP configuration based on changing a frequency for at least one BWP of the multiple BWPs form the first frequency to a second frequency. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may identify a timing threshold associated with a BWP switching operation for multiple BWPs associated with the beam. The UE may switch from the first BWP to a second BWP during the timing threshold. The UE may communicate with the network entity according to the BWP configuration or the second BWP.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) message associated with a random access channel (RACH) procedure to a non-terrestrial network node. The UE may monitor a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for a contention resolution message associated with the RACH procedure during a contention resolution window. In some aspects, the UE may start to monitor the PDCCH a variable time period after the PUSCH message is transmitted. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: False alarms in RADAR processing are reduced. One or more transforms may be performed to generate an array of spectrum values for a first domain spanning at least one of a range axis, a direction of arrival (DoA) axis, or a velocity axis. One or more spectrum values may be obtained from the array of spectrum values, wherein for each of the one or more spectrum values, (1) the spectrum value is associated with a range estimate, and (2) the spectrum value exceeds a range-dependent maximum threshold established based on a quartic function of the range estimate. The one or more spectrum values identified as exceeding the range-dependent maximum threshold may be excluded, or one or more reduced-magnitude values obtained, to generate an array of modified spectrum values for the first domain, used to generate a range estimate, a DoA estimate, or a velocity estimate, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for synchronization signal block (SSB) transmission in different frequency intervals. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a first SSB from an entity in a non-terrestrial network (NTN) at a first time and frequency location. The method generally includes determining one or more time and frequency locations of one or more other SSBs from the entity in the NTN based on the first time and frequency location. The method generally includes monitoring for the one or more other SSBs at the determined one or more time and frequency locations.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for radar target tracking based on return signal strength. A wireless device, such as a radar device, may measure a received signal strength of a detected signal. The received signal strength may be associated with at least one bin of a radar image. The wireless device may compare the received signal strength to a filtered signal strength. The filtered signal strength may be associated with a threshold difference in signal strength from the filtered signal strength. The wireless device may track the at least one bin of the radar image in response to the received signal strength being less than or equal to the threshold difference in signal strength from the filtered signal strength.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for positioning. A receiver receives complementary timing information associated with the positioning reference signals (PRS) of a repetition of a PRS sequence. The complementary timing information distinguishes a repetition of a PRS sequence from remaining repetitions of the PRS sequence. Based on the complementary timing information associated with different PRS from different non-terrestrial vehicles indicating that the PRS were transmitted during the same radio frame, the receiver can determine an observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA) between the PRS received from the respective non-terrestrial vehicles.
