Abstract: A method includes establishing, at a positioning beacon, a wireless backhaul connection to a communication network; receiving, at the positioning beacon, scheduling information for a positioning reference signal (PRS) from the communication network over the wireless backhaul; and transmitting, from the positioning beacon, the PRS according to the scheduling information.
