    摘要: A wireless communication device includes: a first antenna configured to provide a first gain pattern at a millimeter-wave radio frequency and having a first boresight direction; a second antenna configured to provide a second gain pattern at the millimeter-wave radio frequency and having a second boresight direction that is different from the first boresight direction; and an electrically-conductive device; where the first antenna, in combination with the electrically-conductive device, is configured to provide a third gain pattern that has a first gain differential relative to the second gain pattern that is greater than a second gain differential between the first gain pattern and the second gain pattern over a range of angles relative to the wireless communication device.

    摘要: A method of MIMO signal transmission on a cable is disclosed. The cable includes at least a first inner conductor, a second inner conductor, and an outer conductive shield. A first data signal is transmitted using the conductive shield and the first inner conductor. A second data signal is transmitted using at least the second inner conductor. The first and second data signals may be transmitted concurrently. For some embodiments, the second data signal may be transmitted using the first and second inner conductors. Thus, the second data signal may be a differential signal. For other embodiments, the first data signal may be transmitted using the conductive shield and the first inner conductor, and the second data signal may be transmitted using the conductive shield and the second inner conductor.

    摘要: Techniques for providing multiple antennas in a wireless device using a compact configuration to achieve good isolation and broad bandwidth. In an aspect, first and second monopole elements that may be separately driven are provided on opposite sides of a grounding strip conductively coupled to a common grounding structure. By capacitively coupling the first and second monopole elements to the common grounding structure, the effective resonator size of each monopole antenna is increased, thus achieving better performance for the antenna structure. Illustrative patterns for the common grounding structure and other antenna elements are further disclosed.
