Abstract: A method of secure wireless communication is performed by a user equipment (UE). The method receives, from a base station, sub-messages of a secured physical layer message, each sub-message received over a different beam. The method also decodes the sub-messages into decoded message segments. Further, the method reconstructs the secured physical layer message from the decoded message segments. A method of secure wireless communication by a base station includes receiving, from a user equipment (UE), a list of candidate beams for transmission and a reception metric for each of the candidate beams. The method also includes segmenting a secured physical layer message into sub-messages. The method further includes transmitting, to the UE, a control message indicating a structure of the secured message and a transmit beam for each of the plurality of sub-messages; and transmitting, to the UE, each sub-message over a different transmit beam of the candidate beams.

Abstract: A phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) may be enhanced to carry data encoded with a relative low modulation and coding scheme (MCS). A receive device may receiving a data channel, the data channel including a transport block encoded using a first MCS. The receiving device may receiving a PTRS interleaved with the data channel. The PTRS is encoded with the second MCS that is lower than the first MCS. The receiving device may decode the PTRS to determine PTRS data. The receiving device may track phase noise using the PTRS data as a transmitted sequence of the PTRS. The receiving device may decode the transport block for the data channel based on the first MCS and the tracked phase noise.

Abstract: Aspects relate to reconstructing a received non-linearly distorted (e.g., clipped) signal. A transmitting device may non-linearly distort a signal to be transmitted (e.g., by clipping peaks of the signal). This non-linear distortion may adversely affect decoding of the signal at a receiving device. To improve decoding performance at the receiving device, the transmitting device provides information regarding some of the non-linear distortion (e.g., information regarding a subset of the peaks that have been clipped) to the receiving device. The receiving device may reconstruct the signal based on this information (e.g., by reconstructing the subset of the peaks and adding the reconstructed peaks to the received clipped signal). In addition, the receiving device estimates the remaining non-linear distortion in the reconstructed signal (e.g., due to clipped peaks that were not indicated in the clipping information) by slicing the reconstructed signal and clipping the sliced signal, and provides a final reconstructed signal.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter device may transmit a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) communication using a first code block order for code blocks of the HARQ communication; detect a trigger to retransmit the HARQ communication based at least in part on transmitting the HARQ communication; reorder the code blocks of the HARQ communication based at least in part on detecting the trigger to retransmit the HARQ communication; and retransmit the HARQ communication using a second code block order based at least in part on reordering the code blocks of the HARQ communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.
