Abstract: Techniques and systems are provided for processing image data. For example, an image signal processor can obtain (e.g., from a host processor) a first setting change indicator value indicating a change in parameter settings of the image signal processor. The image signal processor can obtain an image frame from an image sensor, and can determine a second setting change indicator value from the image frame. The second setting change indicator value can be provided to the image sensor from the host processor. The second setting change indicator value indicates a change in parameter settings of the image sensor. The image signal processor can compare the first setting change indicator value to the second setting change indicator value, and can determine whether to process the image frame or to drop the image frame based on comparing the first setting change indicator value to the second setting change indicator value.

An example method includes receiving, by an image signal processor, a first sequence of image frames from an image sensor at a first frame rate, processing each image frame of the first sequence of image frames at the first frame rate, and receiving from the image sensor an indication of a frame rate change from the first frame rate to a second frame rate. A device can obtain, at a first context buffer associated with a first interrupt handler, first processing configuration data associated with a first sensor; obtain, at a second context buffer associated with a second interrupt handler, second processing configuration data associated with a second sensor; obtain, at the first interrupt handler, an error indication associated with the first sensor; perform, by the first interrupt handler, based on the error indication, an error handling operation (where the error handling operation comprises flushing the first context buffer and/or invalidating the first processing configuration data in the first context buffer); obtain, at the second interrupt handler, during a time window interval between obtaining the error indication and a completion time of the error handling operation, from the second sensor, an interrupt request (IRQ); and output, based on the IRQ, the second processing configuration data to a processor.

In some examples, a computing device can obtain, based on performing dynamic voting, a plurality of votes associated with a plurality of components sharing a power source. The computing device can determine a voting result based on the plurality of votes. The computing device can increase or decreasing a clock rate and a voltage for the power source based on the voting result to produce an updated clock rate and an updated voltage. The computing device can then apply the updated clock rate and the updated voltage to an image processor.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory media are provided for reducing resource and power usage and requirements in staggered high dynamic range (HDR) applications. For example, a first exposure including a set of image data associated with a frame can be stored in memory. The first exposure has a first exposure time and is captured by an image sensor during a first time period associated with the frame. The first exposure can be obtained from the memory, and a second exposure including a set of image data associated with the frame can be obtained from a cache or the image sensor. The second exposure has a second exposure time and is captured by the image sensor during a second time period associated with the frame. The sets of image data from the first and second exposures can be merged, and an HDR image generated based on the sets of image data merged.
