    Abstract: A communication device mounted on a vehicle, e.g., On-Board Unit (OBU), communicates collision related information to other road entities, e.g., other vehicles or roadside units (RSUs) or a server, after a collision is detected. The OBU may temporarily store basic safety messages (BSMs) (and optionally sensor data) for a predesignated number of seconds before discarding the BSMs (and optionally sensor data) on a continuing basis. When a collision is detected, the OBU sends a report, e.g., to a server, with the stored BSMs (and optionally sensor data) to a server. After a collision detection, the OBU may send a request to other vehicles to upload relevant collision related information. Additionally, if a first vehicle detects the collision of a second vehicle, the first vehicle may communicate collision related information to other entities and a server.

    Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to synchronizing application account data using out-of-band device-to-device (D2D) communication between peer wireless devices. More particularly, a first device may generate a local unique expression that includes a name, one or more user credentials, and a last update time associated with an application registered for a D2D-based application synchronization service. In response to detecting one or more external unique expressions from one or more peer devices in proximity that match the name and the user credentials associated with the registered application, the first device may then identify, among the one or more peer devices, an update device associated with an external unique expression having a last update time more recent than the last update time associated with the local unique expression and request an update to synchronize the application account data associated with the registered application from the update device over an out-of-band D2D connection.

    Abstract: A vehicle may transmit, to a network entity, a lane use request message associated with a lane for the vehicle. The network entity may identify lane information associated with a lane for a vehicle. The network entity may identify vehicle information associated with the vehicle. The network entity may transmit, to the vehicle, and the vehicle may receive, from the network entity, a lane use grant message based on at least one of the identified lane information or the identified vehicle information. The lane use grant message may be indicative of a permission for the vehicle to use the lane. The vehicle may not be permitted to use the lane without the permission. The lane may correspond to a flexible direction lane, an emergency lane, a road shoulder, an HOV lane, or a passing lane.
