    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for managing components within a server using radiofrequency communications. The methods and apparatuses disclosed employ a server having a chassis with a plurality of slots. Each slot of the plurality of slots is configured to connect a removable electronic component to the chassis. The server also includes a controller configured to manage the removable electronic components connected to the chassis. The server also includes at least one RFID reader communicatively connected to the controller. The at least one RFID reader is configured to interrogate one or more RFID tags of the removable electronic components connected to the chassis and provide information from the one or more RFID tags to the controller.

    Abstract: An optical input/output tray for management of optical fibers installed in a switch assembly is disclosed. The switch assembly has a co-packaged optics module with an optical data signal input and a laser input, and a front panel. The optical input/output tray includes a housing insertable in the switch assembly. A first set of adapters are connectable to the co-packaged optics module. A second set of adapters is connectable to the front panel. WDM components convert a plurality of multi-wavelength signals from the first set of adapters to a single multiplexed signal coupled to the second set of adapters. The WDM components converts a single multiplexed signal from the second set of adapters to multi-wavelength signals coupled to the first set of adapters. A fiber management structure in the housing communicates optical signals between the first set of adapters, the WDM components, and the second set of adapters.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus having a computing device with a plurality of serial transmit pins corresponding to a plurality of module locations and methods performed thereon. The computing device is configured to perform operations including selecting a module location from the plurality of module locations, to yield a selected module location and repeating: transmitting, via a one of the plurality of serial transmit pins corresponding to the selected module location, an address for the selected module location; and updating the selected module location to correspond to a next module location of the plurality of module locations.
