    Abstract: A network device comprising a chassis, a plurality of fiber optic adapters, a plurality of arrangements of interior fiber optic cables, and a plurality of stacked cable management trays. The chassis includes a front panel with a plurality of front fiber optic adapter openings. The chassis defines an interior space. The plurality of front fiber optic adapters is disposed in the front fiber optic adapter openings. The plurality of arrangements of interior fiber optic cables is disposed within the interior space. A first end of each interior fiber optic cable is directly connected to a corresponding one of the plurality of front fiber optic adapters. The plurality of stacked cable management trays each support one of the plurality of arrangements of interior fiber optic cables. The plurality of stacked cable management trays is configured to route a second end of each interior fiber optic cable to a corresponding side fiber optic adapter.

    Abstract: A latching apparatus has a first component and a second component. The first component is made of a first material and includes a distal end, a proximal end, and an indention between the distal end the proximal end. The distal end includes a mating tab, whereas the proximal end includes a flange member for fixing the first component to a lid of a housing. The second component is made of a second material and is coupled to the mating tab. The second component includes a receiving element for engaging with a securing element of the housing. The latching element includes a pressing region formed in one of the first component and the second component between the indention and the receiving element. The first material has a higher flexibility that the second material.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus for a cooling fan in a computer system. The apparatus comprises a plurality of bars, a plurality of slats, a knob, and at least one pin. Each slat of the plurality of slats pivotably couples to at least one bar in the plurality of bars. The knob is located at an option on each of bar of a plurality of bars. Rotating movements of the knob adjust the apparatus between a plurality of positions. The at least one pin can be received at an opening in the cooling fan.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a rail assembly for a computing device in a storage rack. The rail assembly can include a rail body, a rail member, and a locking ear. The rail body can engage with a front vertical portion of the storage rack and a rear vertical portion of the storage rack. The rail member can attach to the rail body, and include a slot extending horizontally along the rail member. This slot can slidably receive a plurality of pins disposed along a side surface of the computing device. The present disclosure also provides for a first locking ear to support a first orientation of the computing device and a second locking ear to support a second orientation of the computing device.

    Abstract: A lock mechanism within a slot of a computer chassis is disclosed. The lock mechanism includes a gear wheel, a gear rack body, a push rod latch, a push rod body, and a chassis latch. The gear wheel, the gear rack body, the push rod latch, the push rod body, and the chassis latch cooperate to restrict a flap in the slot from opening when the flap is in the closed position, and the chassis latch is engaged with a cutout on the push rod body.

    Abstract: A computer chassis for accepting a front module and a rear module without a midplane board is disclosed. A middle bracket positioned within the chassis facilitates alignment of connectors of the front module and rear module, which can be directly connected together by applying sufficient force. The rear module can be inserted into the chassis and can automatically lock in place, thereby allowing force applied from the front module to be used to connect the connectors of the front module and rear module together, rather than pressing the rear module out of the chassis. The rear module can further include elements to improve safety and structure. In some cases, supplemental locking mechanisms can be used to ensure the rear module cannot be removed until certain sub-modules (e.g., a power supply unit) has been removed.

    Abstract: A liftable and lockable fan is provided. The fan includes: a housing having a side wall; a tab mounted in the side wall, including an upwardly extending lower portion, an outwardly facing locking projection above the lower portion, and an inwardly facing surface above the outwardly facing locking projection; the tab having a first tab position in which the outwardly facing locking projection extends from the side wall and is configured to engage with an exterior locking surface, and a second tab position in which the outwardly facing locking projection is at least partially retracted into the housing; the housing having a recess above the outwardly facing locking projection; and a top cover rotatably mounted to the housing, including a handle on a first end of the cover, an arm on a second end of the cover.
