摘要: A patient interface includes a plenum chamber, a seal-forming structure, and a positioning and stabilising structure to provide a force to hold the seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on a patient's head. The positioning and stabilizing structure includes a superior strap portion, an inferior strap portion, and a posterior connecting strap portion connected to or formed integrally with the superior strap portion and the inferior strap portion. The posterior connecting strap portion is constructed from a mesh material that is different than the material used to construct the superior strap portion and the inferior strap portion. The posterior connecting strap portion has a greater stretch capability than the superior strap portion and a lesser stretch capability than the inferior strap portion. The stretch capabilities allow the positioning and stabilizing structure to be removable from the patient's head when the loop engages the connection portion.

摘要: This invention relates to a vent structure for a respiratory therapy system. In one form the vent structure comprises a vent housing. The vent housing may define a flow path for a flow of air being vented from the respiratory therapy system, a vent inlet configured to allow the flow of air to enter the flow path, and a vent outlet configured to allow the flow of air to exit the flow path into the surrounding ambient air. The vent housing may be configured so that the flow path comprises a curved turning region in which the flow path changes direction by at least 90°. The vent housing may comprise an inner path surface on an inner side of the flow path and an outer path surface on an outer side of the flow path. The width of the flow path at the turning region and at a region downstream of the turning region may be at least substantially 0.85 mm. An opening angle between the inner path surface of the vent housing at the vent outlet and the outer path surface of the vent housing at the vent outlet may be substantially 7° or less.

摘要: The present technology relates to a patient interface for delivery of a flow of pressurised air to an entrance of a patient's airways, the patient interface comprising a mask with a seal-forming structure and one or more positioning and stabilising structures configured to provide a force to hold the mask in a therapeutically effective position on a patient's head in use. The mask and one or more of the positioning and stabilising structures includes a connection port to receive an end of the air circuit. The pressurised air is delivered from the air circuit to the seal-forming structure. In use, the patient connects the air circuit to the connection port of choice, depending on whether they prefer the patient interface to be arranged such that the end of the air circuit is superior to the patient's otobasion superior or inferior to the patient's otobasion superior.
