摘要: Solar light redirecting glazing units include light redirecting and light diffusing constructions. The solar light redirecting glazing units may include a glazing substrate, a visible light diffusing layer, and a light redirecting layer oriented such that incoming solar light contacts the visible light diffusing layer before contacting the light redirecting layer. The solar light redirecting glazing units may include a glazing substrate, a patterned visible light diffusing layer, and a light redirecting layer. The solar light redirecting glazing units may include two glazing substrates separated by an intervening space with a solar light redirecting layer disposed on one glazing substrate, and a visible light diffusing layer disposed on the other glazing substrate.

摘要: Dual-sided daylight redirecting films include an optical substrate with two solar light redirecting layers disposed on the major surfaces of the optical substrate. The light redirecting layers are microstructured surfaces forming a plurality of prism structures. At least one of the microstructured surfaces is an ordered arrangement of a plurality of asymmetric refractive prisms, and the two solar light redirecting layers are not identical or mirror images. Articles may be prepared that include the dual-sided daylight redirecting film and one or more glazing substrates.

摘要: Some solar light redirecting glazing constructions include a glazing substrate and two solar light redirecting layers present on the two major surfaces of the glazing substrate. Other solar light redirecting glazing constructions include two glazing substrates, each glazing substrate having a light redirecting layer present on one of the major surfaces of the glazing substrate. The light redirecting layers are microstructured surfaces forming a plurality of prism structures. At least one of the microstructured surfaces is an ordered arrangement of a plurality of asymmetric refractive prisms, and the two solar light redirecting layers are not identical or mirror images.

The multilayer film article includes an infrared light reflecting multilayer film having alternating layers of a first polymer type and a second polymer type, an infrared light absorbing nanoparticle layer including a plurality of metal oxide nanoparticles dispersed in a cured polymeric binder and having a thickness in a range from 1 to 20 micrometers. The nanoparticle layer being disposed adjacent the multilayer film. The metal oxide nanoparticles include tin oxide or doped tin oxide.
