    摘要: The new aromatic thermoplastic polyesters and polyester carbonates based on diphenols, dicarboxylic acids, chain terminators and, optionally, branching agents, which are characterized in that the chain terminators correspond to the following formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 may be the same or different and represent C.sub.2 -C.sub.12 alkyl or C.sub.8 -C.sub.20 aralkyl and at least one of the substituents R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 is a C.sub.8 -C.sub.20 aralkyl radical andn has a value of 0.5 to 1,are suitable for the production of moldings, films, fibers and filaments. The polyesters and polyester carbonates are distinguished by good thermal stability.

    摘要: Methods of protecting a crop from weed infestation, controlling weed growth, reducing fumigant dosage in crop protection, and reducing the growth of weeds by applying a polymer composite material with or without a biocide to soil, a crop, a vegetable, a weed, or combinations thereof are provided. In an aspect, the disclosure provides for a polymer composite material including a base polymer coated with: (1) a first barrier layer; (2) a second layer with our without a biocide; and (3) a third protective layer.
