摘要: A power tool in one embodiment is a table saw which includes a swing arm assembly movable along a swing path, an actuator configured to force the swing arm assembly away from a first swing arm position and toward a second swing arm position, and a riving knife positioned outwardly of the swing arm assembly when the swing arm assembly is in the first swing arm position, the riving knife including a channel with a first end portion and a second end portion, a first curved channel portion with a first center of curvature and located between the first end portion and the second end portion, and a second curved channel portion with a second center of curvature and located between the first end portion and the second end portion, wherein the first center of curvature is not coincident with the second center of curvature.

摘要: A power tool in one embodiment is a table saw which includes a latch hold mechanism, a swing arm movable along a swing arm path between a first position adjacent the latch hold mechanism and a second position spaced apart from the latch hold mechanism, a latch movable between a first position whereat the swing arm is maintained at the first position and a second position whereat the swing arm is not maintained at the first position, an actuating device configured to transfer a force to the swing arm when the swing arm is maintained at the first position, and a control system configured to control the actuating device to transfer a force to the swing arm when the swing arm is maintained at the first position sufficient to move the latch from the first position to the second position.

摘要: The locking terminal (18, 40, and 64) includes a plurality of cantilevered arms (56) defining a pocket (58). The arms (56), normally disposed in a retaining position for retaining a controlled member (62) in the pocket (58), are moveable to a receiving position for receiving the controlled member (62) into the pocket (58). The terminal (18, 40, and 64) further includes a locking means (65) for locking the arms (56) in the retaining position to lock the controlled member (62) in the pocket (58). The locking means (65) is movably supported by the terminal (18, 40, and 64) for movement between a locking position to lock the arms (56) in the retaining position and a release position allowing the arms (56) to move to the receiving position.

The cutting assembly includes a blade, a blade guard at least partially covering the blade, and at least one machined cutting assembly surface. A laser alignment device is connected to the cutting assembly. The laser alignment device includes a laser body fixed to a slideable carriage having a machined carriage surface that directly engages the machined cutting assembly surface. The slideable carriage is configured to move relative to the machined cutting assembly surface with substantially only one degree of freedom defined by an axis of translation.

摘要: A power saw comprises a bevel member and a cutting assembly pivotably connected to the bevel member. The cutting assembly includes a blade, a blade guard at least partially covering the blade, and at least one machined cutting assembly surface. A laser alignment device is connected to the cutting assembly. The laser alignment device includes a laser body fixed to a slideable carriage having a machined carriage surface that directly engages the machined cutting assembly surface. The slideable carriage is configured to move relative to the machined cutting assembly surface with substantially only one degree of freedom defined by an axis of translation.

摘要: A motion transmitting remote control assembly (10) comprising a conduit (12) and a motion transmitting core element (14) movably supported in the conduit (12). A support fitting (16) supports the conduit (12) through an aperture (18) in a support structure (20) and includes a body portion (22 and 24) and first integral abutment (26) for abutting one extremity of the aperture (18) and second integral abutment (28) spaced along the body portion (22 and 24) from the first abutment (26). A U-shaped retaining member (30) is removably mounted on the body portion (22 and 24) and has a first surface (32) engaging the second abutment (28). The assembly (10) is characterized by the retaining member (30) including a pair of tabs (34) extending outwardly in a cantilever fashion from a position adjacent the first surface (32) to distal ends for engaging the support structure (20) about the aperture (18) for retaining the support fitting (16) tightly in the aperture (18) whereby the retaining member (30) may be removed from the body portion (22 and 24) and replaced by another like retaining member. The retaining member 30 extends between the two spaced abutments 26 and 28 of the support fitting 16 so that the retaining member 30 must be retained on the support fitting 16 when disposed in the aperture 18.
