The two bowls each are a circular structure and include a pipe-inserting hole, and a plurality of cable-inserting holes around the pipe-inserting hole. Each of the bowls further includes a receiving cavity in communication with the pipe-inserting holes, and the two bowls are disposed at two ends of the front frame pipe. The inserting members each are a hollow tubular structure with a cable hole for insertion of cables of the bicycle, and are screwed in the cable-inserting holes. The bead nests are rotatably disposed in the receiving cavities and abutted against the close ends, respectively. The two end caps are disposed in the open ends of the receiving cavities, and capable of rotating by abutting against the balls of the bead nests.

    摘要: A two-piece expanding lock control cable end fitting for connecting a co-axial cable assembly with a support structure. The first piece is a sleeve that is attached, typically by crimping, to the conduit member. The second part is a lock clip member. The lock clip member includes a base flange, a cylindrical portion and an inclined portion. During assembly the base flange on the clip member will contact the mating part and prevent the clip member from traveling through the mating part. The mating part could be a backing plate, a frame member, or brake lever component. When the clip member stops traveling through the mating part, the sleeve continues to move through the clip member. The end of the sleeve contacts the inclined portion of the clip member causing the clip member to expand. When the sleeve it is fully seated in the clip member, a locking feature on the clip member engages the sleeve to prevent removal of the sleeve from the clip member.

    摘要: An end fitting for use in a remote control cable assembly of the type having a control cable that includes a conduit and a wire-like strand or core element. The end of the strand is typically attached to a slider rod that extends within a swivel tube. The swivel tube is supported within a swivel socket provided in the end fitting. The end fitting allows for easy rotation of the end fitting relative to the axis of the conduit without adding additional lash into the cable system from the rotating end fitting joint. The end fitting has two pieces, a molded sleeve and a rotating fitting. The molded sleeve is fastened directly onto and along the longitudinal axis of the conduit such that the molded sleeve is fixed against longitudinal movement relative said conduit end. The molded sleeve includes a partial spherical ball portion and a cylindrical portion. The rotating fitting is rotatably disposed about the molded sleeve and is used to attach the conduit end to a support structure. The rotating fitting includes a partial spherical cavity portion for receiving the spherical portion of the molded sleeve and a cylindrical cavity for receiving the cylindrical portion of the molded sleeve. The partial spherical ball portion of the molded sleeve and the partial spherical cavity portion of the rotating fitting mate together to form a partial spherical or annular snap fit.

    摘要: A motion transmitting remote control assembly (10) includes a core terminal (20) composed of a slider (26) and a sleeve (46). Flexible cantilever fingers (48) extend from the sleeve (46) and are inserted into an aperture (22) in the top of an accelerator pedal (16). A compression spring (64) is disposed between the sleeve (46) and the slider (26) for providing over travel protection. Splines (42) are positioned along the slider (26) to support the sleeve (46) as it slides thereover during operation. The improvement of this invention resides in distal tips (50) of the fingers (48) which angle into a protective position seated behind the end stop flange (34) of the slider (26). This arrangement allows the end stop flange (34) to center the terminal (20) as it is pushed through the aperture (22) in the accelerator pedal (16), instead of using the fingers (48) to center the terminal (20), thereby reducing the potential for misalignment or incomplete connection. The fingers (48) readily expand over the end stop flange (34) during the initial assembly phase when the slider (26) is first coupled to the sleeve (46). The compression spring (64) forces the distal tips (50) of the fingers (48) into abutting contact with the end stop flange (34) and holds them in this position during subsequent connection to the accelerator pedal (16).
