    摘要: Provides a consumer of digital products with an experience like that of visiting a shopping mall, where a product may be “tried on,” or downloaded, without having to pay until it's actually used. A consumer may download three identical copies of an item, but not be billed for any of the downloads until one of the copies of the item is actually installed or used on the client device. At that point, a purchase of that particular copy of the item is deemed to have occurred and the user is billed for that particular copy. The sale is credited to the provider that the particular copy is associated with, based on a transaction identifier that associates that particular copy of the item with the client device and the provider. The unused copies of the item may automatically be deleted or disabled once the purchase has occurred.

    摘要: A method and medium are provided for automatically updating user profiles based on authentication failures associated with network-access requests from mobile communications devices. A mobile communications device requests access to a mobile network and the access is rejected due to an authentication failure. Upon communicating a rejection message to the mobile communications device, the authentication server communicates a network-access rejection notification to a user-profile updating server that resets network-generated authentication credentials and provides updated profiles containing reset credentials to a provisioning server. Subsequent access requests from the mobile device are handled through a dedicated profile-provisioning home agent until the device is updated, at which time network access can be granted through a more conventional home agent.

The communication interface is configured to receive a notification of a failed attempt by a first wireless communication device operated by a user to register with the wireless network using invalid registration data, and receive a user profile associated with the user. The processing system is configured to process the user profile and the invalid registration data to determine if a credential error has occurred, and if the credential error has occurred, process the user profile to determine if a second wireless communication device is associated with the user, and if the second wireless communication device is associated with the user, direct the communication interface to transfer an updated user profile for wireless delivery to the second wireless communication device, wherein the updated user profile includes valid registration data.

A registrar populates a push registry with information corresponding to an event handler. The registrar associates the event handler with a trigger event and stores the association in the push registry.
