摘要: A humidifier assembly for a CPAP includes a base housing with a gas inlet configured to receive respiratory gas from the CPAP unit. The base housing includes a first connecting device located at a sidewall of the base housing and configured to directly, removably connect the base housing to the CPAP unit. The base housing also includes a second connecting device configured to be coupled to an air delivery hose. The humidifier assembly further includes a liquid storage container that is removably received in the base housing. The liquid storage container includes a liquid storage space configured to store liquid and a humidifying region configured to receive the respiratory gas from the gas feed opening and receive a partial amount of the liquid stored in the liquid storage space to enrich the respiratory gas with moisture.

摘要: A humidifier assembly for a CPAP apparatus includes a liquid storage container configured to hold a body of liquid. The liquid storage container includes a humidifying region above a metallic heat conducting material, the humidifying region being a region inside the liquid storage container in which the liquid is evaporated into pressurized respiratory gas generated in the CPAP apparatus. The CPAP apparatus also includes a base unit configured to a) receive the liquid storage container and b) securely and releasably connect to a CPAP unit of the CPAP apparatus, the base unit having a bottom portion to support the liquid storage container thereon, the bottom portion including a heating element configured to contact the heat conducting material of the liquid storage container when the liquid storage container is supported on the base unit. When the liquid storage container is received by the base unit, the liquid storage container and the base unit together define an airflow path through the humidifier assembly, an inlet of the airflow path being upstream of the liquid storage container and an outlet of the airflow path being downstream of the liquid storage container.

摘要: An apparatus for delivering pressurized, humidified breathable gas to a patient having a sleep-related disorder includes a CPAP unit with a blower configured to generate a flow of pressurized breathable gas. The Apparatus also includes a liquid storage container configured to hold a body of liquid. The liquid storage container has a gas feed opening, a gas discharge opening and a humidifying region above a metallic heat conducting material. In addition, the apparatus includes a support housing integrated directly into the CPAP unit and having a receiving space configured to removably receive the liquid storage container. The liquid storage container is structured such that when the liquid storage container is received by the support housing, the gas feed opening aligns with and engages with an ending portion of a gas feed flow path defined by the support structure and the gas discharge opening aligns with and engages with a beginning portion of a gas discharge flow path defined by the support structure so that the liquid storage container fluidly connects the gas feed flow path and the gas discharge flow path.

摘要: A positive pressure gas supply system configured to supply positive pressure gas to a patient includes a CPAP unit configured to generate a flow of positive pressure gas. A humidifier base is positioned to receive the flow of positive pressure gas from the CPAP unit. A receiving portion of the humidifier base is configured to removably receive a refilling module. The refilling module is configured to hold a volume of water, complete a gas flow path partially defined by the humidifier base, and humidify the positive pressure gas. In addition, a respiration tube connecting portion is positioned to remain in communication with a gas discharge passage of the humidifier base when the refilling module is removed from the humidifier base. The respiration tube connecting portion is configured to be connected to a respiration tube and deliver the humidified positive pressure gas to the respiration tube.
