摘要: Provided herein are systems, methods and devices for performing one or more titrations for oral appliance therapy. For example, a method for evaluating an outcome of oral appliance therapy in a subject is discussed herein. The method can include positioning an adjustable mandibular displacement device in an oral cavity of a subject and implementing an automatic titration protocol. The protocol can include controlling a protrusion level of the adjustable mandibular displacement device during a test period, monitoring physiological information from the subject during the test period, and analyzing the physiological information to evaluate the outcome of oral appliance therapy.

摘要: A double-ended blower includes a blower motor assembly supporting opposed first and second shaft ends. The first and second shaft ends have respective first and second impellers attached thereto and enclosed within first and second volutes, respectively. The first volute is connected to an inlet and the second volute is connected to an outlet. The blower motor assembly is supported in a chassis enclosure and a radially outer inter-stage path is between the first and second volute. The second volute is at least partially substantially concentrically nested with the radially outer inter-stage gas path.

摘要: A pump arrangement for powering a pump in providing a controlled volume of water to a drip nozzle in a drip-feed humidifier. The pump arrangement includes: a pump having a solenoid; a processing unit; and a power supply electrically connected to the solenoid via a switch which is controlled by the processing unit. The power supply is structured to supply power to the solenoid via the switch. The processing unit is programmed to modulate the power provided to the solenoid via the switch such that the power is supplied to the solenoid according to a power profile for each actuation of the solenoid. The power profile includes: an initial portion which increases at a first overall rate, an intermediate portion which increases at a second overall rate different than the first overall rate, and a final portion which decreases at a third overall rate.

摘要: A method for operating a humidifier coupled to a gas flow generator. The humidifier has a pump providing a supply of water to a heater plate. The method includes: providing power to the gas flow generator; raising the temperature of the heater plate from an ambient temperature to about a first predetermined temperature; powering the pump at about a predetermined first duty cycle; monitoring the temperature of the heater plate until one of: a drop in temperature is detected, or a predetermined period of time has elapsed; and one of: increasing the duty cycle of the pump if the drop in temperature is detected, or turning off the pump if the predetermined period of time has elapsed.

摘要: The present artificial respiration ventilator (10) comprises, inter alia, a flow sensor arrangement (44, 48) for quantitatively detecting a gas flow in a breathing line arrangement (30), comprising a distal flow sensor (48) located farther from the patient end of the ventilation line arrangement (30). and a proximal flow sensor (44) located closer to the patient end of the ventilation line arrangement (30), and has a control device (18) at least for processing measurement signals of the flow sensor arrangement (44, 48), wherein the control device (18) is designed for error detection based on the measurement signals of the distal (48) and/or the proximal sensor (44). According to the invention, the control device (18) is designed to detect an error of the flow sensor arrangement (44, 48) on the basis of a comparison of a change value (62, 76) of a measurement signal (54, 58, 68, 72) of the one flow sensor (44) with a change value (60, 74) of a measurement signal (52, 56, 66, 70) of the respective other flow sensor (48) or/and with a measurement signal (54, 58, 68, 72) of the one flow sensor (44).

摘要: A variable speed blower for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) ventilation of patients includes two impellers in the gas flow path that cooperatively pressurize gas to desired pressure and flow characteristics. Thus, the blower can provide faster pressure response and desired flow characteristics over a narrower range of motor speeds, resulting in greater reliability and less acoustic noise.

摘要: A flow generator for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a processor coupled with operation sensors and a user interface. The processor is programmed to generate at least one of time-based or event-based messages relating to at least one of flow generator operation, flow generator service, flow generator use, patient health, peripheral devices and services, patient treatment, and reminders. Time-based messages are generated at predetermined time intervals based on either time of use or elapsed time. The event-based messages are generated based on signals from the operation sensors. The user interface is configured to deliver the messages to at least one of a display, a flow generator service provider, the patient and a physician. By this system, operation of the flow generator is facilitated and enhanced.
