摘要： Engine location above or alternatively in front of the front axle of a two axle vehicle provides improved weight distribution in a tractor. Heat exchangers are located amidships with a fan drawing air through the heat exchangers and directing it around the engine. Heated air is directed away from the operator's compartment at the rear of the vehicle. Primary fuel tanks may also be mounted amidships and configured to provide arcuate planar surfaces for directing air borne noise and improving the flow of air to the heat exchangers.

摘要： A tractor vehicle (10) is provided with segregated engine (45) and heat exchanger compartments (64). The heat exchanger compartment (64) is supplied with ambient air from an intake grille (24) above the heat exchanger compartment. The process air from the heat exchanger compartment is exhausted forwardly through a front grille (40) location on the tractor. The engine compartment is ventilated by a forced air system induced by the heat exchanger compartment exhaust fan (80). Engine compartment process air is drawn to the downstream side of the primary heat exchanger (76) and is discharged along with the heat exchanger compartment process air, through the front grille of the tractor.

摘要： A control system for controlling the engine governor on a tractor or like vehicle utilizing hand and foot throttles link-connected to the governor for control thereof without interaction between the throttles. Each throttle connects to the governor by separate linkage incorporating a flexible cable capable of transmitting tension but not a compression load enabling a tensioning of one cable through a manipulation of the associated throttle with the cable link of the second throttle going slack and transmitting no motion to the second throttle.

摘要： An operator's platform, a vehicle cab and a forward tractor engine enclosure are pivotally mounted as a unit at a forward pivot point to a tractor frame. These components are suspended at the rear portion of the frame through an integrated suspension system including a coil spring and a shock absorber. A pair of vertical guide members at the rear of the suspended chassis of the vehicle interact with rollers accompanied on laterally projecting arms fastened to the rear section of a tractor chassis to pivot in a vertical plane around forward pivot points while constraining lateral movement of the cab relative to the vehicle chassis.
