    摘要: One or more virtual access nodes manage multiple physical links connecting a digital subscriber line access multiplexer and an intelligent network interface device by logically bonding physical ports together into a group. Physical ports bonded in a logical group have equal priority with respect to one another. Thus, no master-slave relationship exists between the physical ports in the logical group. Traffic associated with a site is transmitted over physical links associated with the logical group of physical ports to a customer premises network interface device. The customer premises network interface device subsequently aggregates the received traffic and provides an increased bandwidth to the site over the physical links. The quality of communication is based on the number of operational physical links associated with the logical group. As long as at least one physical link associated with the logical group remains operational, communication will be enabled.

    摘要: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed which relate to provisioning a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) with multiple services. The UICC enables a wireless communication device to communicate through multiple carriers by using a unique virtual subscriber identity module (SIM) to register with each carrier. The unique virtual SIM is one of a plurality of virtual SIMs stored on and managed by the UICC. A carrier network includes a server for provisioning a new virtual SIM on a UICC over-the-air (OTA) when a new customer requests a service such as voice, data, or other type of service. These UICCs may also include logic to automatically select the best carrier for a voice call depending on the user settings.

    摘要: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed which relate to provisioning a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) with multiple services. The UICC enables a wireless communication device to communicate through multiple carriers by using a unique virtual subscriber identity module (SIM) to register with each carrier.     摘要: A method for using a single sample suspected of containing a microorganism for both a local rapid test immunoassay and a remote laboratory test. The sample is collected from a patient at a physician's office or from the environment to be tested. The sample is collected using a swab or other implement, combined with a rapid test processing reagent and a portion of the processed sample is used for the local rapid test. The rapid test processing reagent typically consists of a buffer, a salt, and a detergent and is compatible with the local rapid test immunoassay. Only a portion of the processed sample is used for the local rapid test, leaving a remaining portion of the processed sample to be used in a remote laboratory assay. At least some of the remaining portion of the processed sample is combined with a stabilization agent that preserves at least the nucleic acid in the processed sample for the remote laboratory assay.

Party location based services can be provided to the called party, to the calling party, or both. Services can include an indication of the location of each party. Services can be provided if the parties are using a mobile communications devices, such as a cellular phone, wireline systems (e.g., landline phones), or a combination thereof. In an example configuration, location can be provided in a hierarchy of various levels of accuracy/precision. Different levels can be representative of different resolutions of geography. An example system for facilitating party location based services includes a signaling system number 7 (SS7) network.
