    摘要: Restricted operating modes are provided for a motor vehicle when driven by a secondary driver (such as a less experienced driver). A seat occupancy sensor detects the presence of at least one rear seat passenger. A controller includes a memory storing rules defining a restricted operating mode containing a plurality of limitations to be applied to operation of various vehicle accessories in conjunction with the secondary driver. The controller selectively controls the operation of at least one of the accessories according to one of the rules in response to simultaneously detecting the secondary driver and the presence of at least one rear seat passenger. Use of the rules may also depend on whether the rear seat passenger has an unbuckled seat belt.

    摘要: A pruning algorithm for generating a reverse donut model (RDM) for running timing analysis for a block in an IC includes logic to reduce a hierarchical model of the IC to a single level flat model. A block from a plurality of blocks that make up the IC is identified from the single level flat model of the IC. The pruning algorithm is further used to initialize a timer and to define timing constraints associated with each of a plurality of input and output pins associated with the identified block. A RDM for the identified block is generated by identifying and including connectivity information associated with a plurality of input and output pins in an outer boundary of the identified block and at least one layer of interface connection between each of the plurality of input and output pins in the outer layer of the identified block and one or more circuit elements external to the identified block in the IC interfacing with each of the plurality of input and output pins in the identified block. The generated RDM acts as a blackbox for the identified block and is used in place of the identified block for running the timing analysis.

    摘要: A woven paper making fabric (A) is disclosed having a profiled permeability characteristic which varies across the width of the fabric yet the tensions are relatively uniform across the width of the fabric. The fabric includes a plurality of warp yarns (20, 22, 24, 26) extending in a machine direction and a plurality of weft yarns (28, 30, 32) extending in a cross-machine direction in the fabric woven with the warp yarns. The weft yarns and warp yarns are woven to provide at least two layers (60, 62, 64) in the fabric. A number of unwoven fabric closure elements (B) are bound between the weft yarns of two of the fabric layers (60, 62) extending in the machine direction adjacent the lateral edges (42, 44) of the fabric (A). The closure elements (B) extend through the fabric parallel to the edges in a generally straight configuration between the two fabric layers (60, 62) in a generally tensionless state so as not to effect the tension of the weave of the fabric. A uniform weave tension exists across the width of said fabric. The closure elements block the flow of air through the fabric to reduce the permeability of the fabric at the lateral edges (46, 48) and provide the desired permeability profile.

    摘要: A fiber-reinforced composite vehicle wheel, and a method and apparatus for construction thereof. The wheel comprises a disc portion having reinforcing fibers in substantially random orientation disposed predominantly in planes perpendicular to the wheel axis, and a rim portion having directional first reinforcing fibers substantially parallel to each other and oriented circumferentially of or substantially parallel to the wheel axis, or both, and second reinforcing fibers which are substantially randomly oriented circumferentially of the wheel axis. The method includes formation of separate rim and disc charges from sheet molding plastic resin compound and compression molding of the charges to form an integral composite rim and disc structure of essentially homogeneous resin reinforced by the fibers. An apparatus for molding the wheel features radially movable rim mold sections and axially reciprocable disc mold sections all having mold surface contours for forming a molded composite wheel of desired configuration.
