摘要: A retractable roof assembly (53) is provided for a motor vehicle (10) having a rear seat (24) and spaced apart roof side frame members (30) defining a roof opening (31). The retractable roof assembly (53) includes a split rail assembly (33) having a fixed rail (34) adapted to be fixedly secured to each of the roof side frame members (30) and extending along a portion thereof, and a movable rail (40) extending rearward of the fixed rail (34) along a remaining portion of each of the roof side frame members (30). A plurality of roof panels (58, 60, 62) extends between the roof side frame members (30) and slidably engages the split rail assembly (33) for selective movement into a stacked configuration above the movable rail (40). A linkage assembly (254) is operably connected to the movable rail (40) for pivoting and articulating the movable rail (40) relative to the fixed rail (34) when the plurality of roof panels (58, 60, 62) is in the stacked configuration in order to stow the plurality of roof panels (58, 60, 62) behind the rear seat (24) of the motor vehicle (10) such that the entire roof opening (31) is exposed.

摘要: A retractable roof assembly is provided for a motor vehicle having a rear storage space behind a rear seat within a passenger compartment. The retractable roof assembly includes a rail assembly including at least one rear rail and at least one front rail pivotally hinged to the rear rail. A plurality of roof panels slidingly engage the rear and front rails for movement between a roof configuration covering the passenger compartment and a stacked configuration exposing the passenger compartment. A rear pillar is disposed rearward of the rear rail and selectively supports at least one of the plurality of roof panels. When the plurality of roof panels is in the stacked configuration, the rail assembly, plurality of roof panels, and rear pillar are movable into the rear storage space behind the rear seat in order to provide a full open air roof for the motor vehicle.

摘要: A data storage medium such as an optical disc with separate image and data tracks, and a method and apparatus for forming the same. The medium has a user data storage area with a data track to store user data, and a non-user data image track to store human readable information to form a watermark interspersed with the user data. Preferably, the data track forms a portion of a first spiral and the image track forms a portion of a distinct second spiral nested within the first spiral. Alternatively, the data and image tracks are nested concentric circles. An increased track pitch is preferably provided for the data tracks in the data storage area adjacent the watermark to accommodate the intervening image tracks, and a reduced track pitch between data tracks is provided elsewhere. The medium can be pre-recorded or recordable.

摘要: Method and apparatus for verifying provenance data associated with digital content. The provenance data preferably comprises a number of entries that serve as a history of processing steps carried out upon the digital content, such as when and by whom the content was created, transmitted, mastered, replicated, etc. A hash function is preferably used to generate a multi-bit digital signature from the provenance data, and the provenance data and the digital signature are stored in a memory. A processor uses the digital signature to authenticate the provenance data, preferably by generating a second digital signature from the provenance data and comparing the second digital signature with the first signature. The processor further preferably authenticates the content in relation to the authenticated provenance data. The processor preferably further processes the content, updates the provenance data in relation thereto, and calculates a new digital signature in relation to the updated provenance data.

摘要: An apparatus and method for determining a separation distance between radial locations on a data storage medium, such as an optical disc. A first number of channel bits are detected at a first radial location of the medium, and a second number of channel bits are detected at a second radial location. The radial separation distance therebetween is determined in relation to the respective first and second numbers. Preferably, the first radial location is a first track on the medium, and the second radial location is a second track on the medium. Preferably, a motor rotates the medium, a data transducer transduces readback signals from the first and second locations, and a processor determines the respective numbers of bits from the readback signals. The radial separation distance is preferably used to authenticate the medium.

摘要: Transaction detail records for a mobile data service are assembled by: de-multiplexing signalling sessions carried on a signalling channel and selecting a signalling session related to a mobile data service; using information from the selected signalling session to identify data sessions associated with the mobile data service; using information from the selected signalling session to obtain information related to the mobile data service from an authentication, authorisation and accounting (AAA) resource; and assembling information relating to the identified data sessions and information obtained from the resource to provide a transaction detail record.

摘要: An optical disc (102) and method for forming the same. The optical disc preferably includes a first substrate (150) comprising a pre-recorded, first data storage layer (152) and a second substrate (156) comprising a recordable, second data storage layer (158). The second substrate is affixed to the first substrate such that a data transducing beam (161) passes through a common exterior boundary surface (162) of the disc to access the respective first and second layers. Preferably, the pre-recorded layer comprises a sequence of pits and lands (218). Addresses of blocks in the respective layers preferably successively increment (220) so that a readback system (100) interprets the respective layers as a common recording layer within the disc. One of the layers can store disc authentication data zone, a patch which updates a version of user data stored in the remaining layer, etc. A content supplier can supply specially configured substrates with pre-recorded control data to control disc manufacture.

摘要: A multi-channel network monitoring apparatus has input connectors for network signals to be monitored and four channel processors in a rack-mountable chassis/enclosure for receiving and processing a respective pair of incoming signals to produce monitoring results. Each processor operates independently of the others and is replaceable without interrupting their operation. LAN connectors enable onward communication of the monitoring results. A cross-point switch routes each incoming signal to a selected processor and can re-route a channel to another processor in the event of processor outage. Each processor has a self-contained sub-system of processing modules interconnected via a CPU-peripheral interface in a backplane, which provides a separate peripheral interface for each processor. The backplane provides locations for processors to lie horizontally across a major portion of the backplane area facing the front of the enclosure, and a location for an interface module over a minor portion of that area facing the rear, so as to provide external connectors at the rear of the enclosure. A power supply module is positioned over another portion of the backplane area, on the same side as the interface module. The location of the power supply module behind the backplane saves height and/or width in the rack.
