摘要: A locking device for use with a gas flow distribution device to be connected to a source of gas under pressure. The device has a yoke for securement to the source and a fastening screw threaded in the yoke for securing the device to the gas source. The locking screw has a tee-shaped handle. The locking device has a collar including a sleeve defining opposed openings for engagement of the yoke to permit longitudinal movement relative to the yoke but substantially prevents rotation of the sleeve relative to the yoke. The collar has a yoke-remote portion including a plurality of handle-engaging recesses. A spring biases the collar outwardly from the yoke into locking engagement with the handle for preventing unintended unfastening of the screw.

摘要: A multiple flow rate fluid control valve assembly in which the mode of fluid flow is interfaced with the rate of fluid flow has a mode control valve having a switch for selectively setting the valve to either of a continuous fluid flow mode or a pulse fluid flow mode. A fluid flow rate control valve is connected to the mode control valve for selectively controlling the rate of fluid flow from a source of fluid through the rate control valve to the mode control valve, to thereby provide fluid from the source of fluid to the mode control valve at a rate which is appropriate for the mode of fluid delivery and the particular fluid use.

摘要: A system (A) for providing single continuous dose of a gaseous heliox mixture to a patient with breathing difficulty includes a device (1) providing a constant and continuous flow of the heliox mixture, and a gas storage tank (2) for the mixture. A flow control is selectively operated to initiate flow of the heliox to the patient. It has a locking mechanism to prevent it from being turned off after the flow begins. The regulator can be reset for reuse by a service entity.

摘要: Safety device (20) for a high-pressure fluid regulator for preventing risk of combustion caused by high velocity particles entering the regulator includes an inlet body (24) having a passage in fluid communication to receive the fluid prior to supply to the regulator, to which the device is connected. A filter (60) within the inlet body filters fluid passing through the passage. A fluid disrupter (62) is disposed between the filter and the regulator so that high velocity particles are kept by the filter and disrupter from entering the regulator.
