    摘要: The disclosed embodiments include method and apparatus for detecting the alignment of movable reflectors in an optical switch. A diagnostic device embodiment includes a two-dimensional photoimager positioned to receive light from movable mirrors in the switch. Each movable mirror reflects light to different two-dimensional positions on the photoimager based on the position of each movable mirror, thereby creating a two-dimensional image of the reflector array. A controller receives information from the photoimager and adjusts the positions of the movable mirrors according to light received at the photoimager. A related diagnostic device includes an illumination source for directing monitor light beams onto the movable mirrors where the monitor beams are reflected onto the photoimager. This configuration provides two-dimensional information concerning the current position of the movable mirrors which is used to monitor and adjust the positions of the movable mirrors of the switch.

    摘要: Various embodiments include methods and systems to dilute a sampled particle-laden aerosol stream. In one embodiment, a system to dilute a sampled aerosol stream includes an aerosol sample inlet. A filter is coupled in fluid communication with and in parallel with a flow-monitoring device to receive the sampled aerosol stream from the aerosol sample inlet. The flow-monitoring device is configured to allow for a passage of particles contained in the sampled aerosol stream. A pressure sensor and a temperature sensor monitor the filter and the flow-monitoring device. An output from the filter and the flow-monitoring device may be directed to particle measurement or particle sizing instrumentation. An actual dilution ratio of the output sent to the particle measurement or particle sizing instrumentation is determined based on a nominal flowrate of the flow-monitoring device and thermodynamic properties of a gas comprising the aerosol stream. Other methods and apparatuses are disclosed.

In an embodiment, each pixel of an image is texture mapped to a three dimensional model. A time offset mask for the image and a value representing a speed of the camera are received. The time offset mask and speed values are used to create an offset mask. The offset mask is applied to the texture mapped model to correct for variations in camera position across an image.

A sleeve removeably mounted inside the gas block has: a gas conduit; a seat near the gas conduit; a projection; and a rod conduit communicating gas through the projection. A rod movably mounted in the gas block has a cup fitting over the projection.A valve has a knob coupleable to the gas block and a plug moveable within the pressure sleeve with a plunger engageable with the seat to adjust gas flow through the gas conduit to the rod conduit. Gas discharged from a fired cartridge flows against the cup to drive the rod to reload the firearm. The plug is moveable by the knob to a plurality of positions to alter the gas conveyed to the rod.
