摘要: According to embodiments, a method of logging position data is provided. An indication of a desired accuracy value for determining a geographic position is received. A geographic position is then received. A predicted post-processed accuracy value for the received geographic position is then calculated. The desired accuracy value is then compared with the predicted post-processed accuracy value for the received geographic position. When the predicted post-processed accuracy value for the received geographic position is at least as precise as the desired accuracy value, the geographic position is logged.

摘要: A method of implementing accurate digitization from a georeferenced image is described. In one embodiment, at least one set of coordinates which have been measured at a point of interest is received. A correction is then determined which describes a difference between the at least one set of coordinates and a set of georeferenced coordinates from a georeferenced image of the point of interest which describes the position of the point of interest.

摘要: Method and apparatus are provided for image based positioning comprising capturing a first image with an image capturing device. Wherein said first image includes at least one object. Moving the platform and capturing a second image with the image capturing device. The second image including the at least one object. Capturing in the first image an image of a surface; capturing in the second image a second image of the surface. Processing the plurality of images of the object and the surface using a combined feature based process and surface tracking process to track the location of the surface. Finally, determining the location of the platform by processing the combined feature based process and surface based process.

摘要: Embodiments provided herein recite methods and systems for an accuracy estimator for a position fix. In one embodiment, a solution receiver for receiving a code solution and at least one additional solution from a different solution technique is utilized. In addition, a table of metric values comprising an associated accuracy estimate for at least one characteristic of each of the code solution and the at least one additional solution is also utilized. A comparator compares the code solution and the at least one additional solution with the table of metric values. In addition, a solution orderer orders the at least one additional solution above or below the code solution dependent on whether the at least one additional solution is within a pre-defined offset distance threshold. If the at least one additional solution is outside of the distance threshold, the code solution is chosen as the final solution.

摘要: An image-based georeferencing system comprises an image receiver, an image identification processor, a reference feature determiner, and a feature locator. The image receiver is configured for receiving a first image for use in georeferencing. The image comprises digital image information. The system includes a communicative coupling to a georeferenced images database of images. The image identification processor is configured for identifying a second image from the georeferenced images database that correlates to the first image. The system includes a communicative coupling to a geographic location information system. The reference feature determiner is configured for determining a reference feature common to both the second image and the first image. The feature locator is configured for accessing the geographic information system to identify and obtain geographic location information related to the common reference feature.
