Abstract:
The present invention provides an improved rocker arm system for actuating poppet valves in high performance internal combustion engines. The rocker arm provides journals extending from each side fitted to outboard bearing mounts to guide the motion of the rocker arm.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine connecting rod, having an embodiment defining a hollow beam member and a process of manufacture are disclosed. The improvement substantially reduces beam tensile and compressive stress levels through application of elliptical and convex segment profile beam sections, conserving reciprocating and rotating connecting rod weight required in high performance engine applications.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an improved rocker arm system for actuating poppet valves in high performance internal combustion engines. The rocker arm provides trunnion journals extending from each side fitted to outboard bearing mounts to guide the motion of the rocker arm. An I-beam rocker arm having high stiffness and low mass is disclosed.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine wherein a rotary inlet gaseous mixture valve is provided and a separate rotary exhaust valve. The inlet valve and the exhaust valve are connected together through a drive means and are rotated at the same velocity and in precise timing with respect to the engine crankshaft. The exhaust valve includes a water cooling jacket thereabout. The inlet valve includes an individual gaseous mixture inlet passage for each combustion chamber.
