摘要： This invention pertains to a cord connector that both seals and provides strain relief automatically upon wire insertion. The cord connector comprises a wire passageway through a pliable shell which seals around both the wire inserted through the passageway as well as the knock-out or wall opening into which the connector is secured. A more rigid skeleton supports this shell and is provided with appendages which permit the wire to pass through the passageway but which block or resist any removal of the wire from the passageway. Preferably the shell is over-molded over the skeleton for ease of manufacture.

摘要： A liquid tight connector for terminating one end of an elongate electrical conductor includes a connector body having a rearward conduit receiving end, an opposed forward end and a central bore therethrough. A gland nut is movably secured to the rearward conduit receiving end of the body for securing the end of the conduit thereto and a sealing ring is interposed between the rearward conduit receiving end of the body and the gland nut and is supported within a receiving chamber defined therebetween. The sealing ring has a generally O-shaped cross section and is formed of resiliently deformable material. The gland nut includes an internal frusto-conical surface, which simultaneously urges the sealing ring radially inward toward the conduit and forward toward the rearward conduit receiving end of the body so as to deformably fill the receiving chamber upon the movable securement of the gland nut onto the body.

摘要： A conduit body device for accommodating wire therethrough the device is provided. The conduit body has a body wall including a pair of elongate side walls and a pair of end walls forming a perimetrical side wall, a bottom wall, and an open end defining a body interior. The conduit body further includes a longitudinal axis located generally along the elongate side walls. At least two hub passageways extend from the conduit body in communication with the body interior, each of the hub passageways including a hub wall defining an access channel for passage of wires therethrough. The hub passageways may be generally located in non-axial alignment with said longitudinal axis. In some embodiments the bottom wall has a broad curved shape. In other embodiments, the open end may be angled for ease of access.

The insert includes a first flange; a second flange shorter than the first flange; and a curvilinear portion connecting the first and second flanges. A lower surface of the curvilinear portion and a lower portion of the first flange together define a smooth transition surface. The universal insert may be used in conjunction with any conventional conduit body.

摘要： A connector fitting for a threadless conduit and a method of securing such a fitting are provided. The connector fitting includes a connector body, a gland nut, and a continuous metal compression ring. The compression ring includes an annular stop and a pair of end portions. Upon tightening the gland nut, one end portion of the compression ring is urged between the connector body and conduit while the other end of the compression ring is press fit between the gland nut and conduit to form a rain tight seal. One or more indicators are provided for indicating that the gland nut has been properly torqued.
