Abstract: A light field display apparatus includes a display panel and a micro lens array. The display panel includes a plurality of sub-pixels arranged in a matrix. The micro lens array is disposed on the display panel. The micro lens array includes a plurality of micro lenses. Each of the plurality of sub pixels emits light of a single color, of a set of primary colors. The arrangement of the micro lens array, relative to the display panel, causes the light of certain sub pixels, of the plurality of sub pixels to be emphasized. The micro lens array is arranged, relative to the display panel, so that sub pixels of each primary color are emphasized to a same extent.

Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) display device includes a display panel which operates in a first mode for displaying a first image or a second mode for displaying a second image and a liquid crystal lens panel disposed on the display panel, where the liquid crystal lens panel refracts the first image in a way such that the first image has a first viewing angle and refracts the second image in a way such that the second image has a second viewing angle greater than the first viewing angle. The liquid crystal lens panel includes an upper substrate, a first lens layer including a plurality of first lenses, a lower substrate, a second lens layer including a plurality of second lenses, and a liquid crystal layer.
