摘要: A display device includes a display panel, a display panel driving circuit, and a power management integrated circuit that generates driving voltages, receives driving set data from a timing controller, stores driving hex values corresponding to the driving set data in first internal registers, and determines voltage levels of the driving voltages based on the driving hex values. The power management integrated circuit divides the driving hex values into upper and lower decimal values, derives a result decimal value by applying the upper and lower decimal values to a first authentication-formula, generates a result hex value based on the result decimal value, compares an authentication hex value corresponding to authentication data received from the timing controller with the result hex value, and selectively operates in a normal mode or in a protection mode based on a comparison result between the authentication hex value and the result hex value.

摘要: A display device includes a display panel, pixels on the display panel, data and gate drivers, a timing controller which applies control signals respectively to the data and gate drivers, and a power management integrated circuit (“PMIC”) which applies a driving voltage to the data and gate drivers. The timing controller detects an operational condition of the display panel and selects one of stored power setting values to output the selected one of the power setting values to the PMIC. The PMIC includes, first and second storage banks, a controller which receives the power setting value from the timing controller, stores the power setting value in one of the first and second storage banks, and calls the stored power setting value to determine the driving voltage, and a power generator which applies the driving voltage based on the driving voltage determined by the controller.

摘要: A gate driving device of a display device may include a voltage generator, a gate controller and a gate driver. The voltage generator may generate a gate driving voltage that varies between a gate-on voltage and a gate-off voltage. The gate controller may generate gate clock signals based on the gate driving voltage and gate control signals. The gate driver may generate a gate signal based on the gate clock signals. The gate control signals may include a first control signal and clock control signals, each varying between a high level and a low level. The gate controller may output the gate clock signals having a voltage level of the gate-off voltage when the first control signal and the clock control signals are each provided to the gate controller at the low level, thereby avoiding a display defect due to voltage ramping that may otherwise occur.

The power controller determines a transient time that changes the driving voltage from a first voltage level to a second voltage level based on the power control signal.
