Abstract: According to certain embodiments, an electronic device comprises a short-range communication module, a processor operatively connected to the short-range communication module, and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory may store instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to: confirm that the electronic device is inserted into a first external electronic device; obtain setting information regarding a Bluetooth communication connection from the first external electronic device by using the short-range communication module; confirm whether a condition for setting address information of the electronic device is satisfied; and on the basis of confirming that the condition is satisfied, set the address information of the electronic device by using the setting information. Various other embodiments are possible.

Abstract: A foldable mobile terminal apparatus and control method are provided. The apparatus includes a first section, a second section coupled to the first section and movable between a folded state and an unfolded state including a plurality of partially folded states, a flexible display coupled to the first and second sections, a first sensor, and at least one processor to, while the mobile terminal apparatus is partially folded, identify one of the partially folded states of the mobile terminal apparatus, and control the display to display information corresponding to a compass direction based on magnetic related information obtained by the first sensor and according to the identified partially folded states. The electronic device can prevent distortion of the first sensor caused by the display by calibrating the geomagnetic value of the sensor based on an angle between a first surface of a first section and a third surface of the second section.

Abstract: An electronic device and method for measuring biometric information are provided. The electronic device includes at least one light emitter; light receiver; and a processor. The processor is configured to emit light outside of the electronic device through the at least one light emitter, obtain, through the light receiver, light reflected by an external object among the emitted light, obtain a signal generated based on at least a portion of the reflected light and corresponding to the external object, output guide information related to a location of the external object when the signal satisfies a first designated condition, and obtain biometric information about the external object when the signal satisfies a second designated condition. When a finger of a user finger of the electronic device is not accurately located at a bio sensor, by guiding an accurate grip location, biometric information about the user can be accurately measured.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method for providing information of a foreign substance adsorbed from the outside of a camera are provided. The electronic device includes a transparent member formed with a first medium, a light emitter disposed under the transparent member and configured to emit light, a camera disposed under the transparent member and configured to obtain an image of an external object, and a processor. The processor may be configured to obtain a first image of the external object by using a difference of light refracting angles between the first medium and the second medium formed at an outer part of the transparent member by using the camera while at least one part of the light emitted by the light emitter is transmitted through an inner part of a second medium, obtain a second image of the external object by using the camera, and provide foreign substance information of a third medium adsorbed on at least one part of an outer surface of the transparent member by using a color difference between at least one partial area of the first image and at least one partial area of the second image.
