Abstract: A storage system includes a host, a back plane including a switching block and connected to the host, a plurality of storage sets connected to the back plane to receive power from the host, and a battery module connected to the back plane to supply spare power to at least one storage set of the plurality of storage sets through the switching block, when an abnormal power drop is detected in the at least one storage set of the plurality of storage sets. The battery module controls the at least one storage set to perform a data flushing operation, when power less than or equal to a threshold value is detected in the at least one storage set after supplying the spare power.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a host device and a plurality of storage devices. The host device includes a processor and a baseboard management controller (BMC). Each of the plurality of storage devices includes a storage controller and a micro controller unit (MCU). The processor and the storage controller support in-band communication, and the BMC and the MCU support out-of-band communication. The BMC receives monitoring data from the MCU of each of the plurality of storage devices based on the out-of-band communication. The processor allocates a first workload among one or more workloads to a first storage device among the plurality of storage devices, based on a monitoring data set including the monitoring data. The first storage device executes the first workload based on the in-band communication.

Abstract: A storage device includes: a controller that exchanges data with a host through an interface; memory devices that store the data; a power supply circuit that outputs internal voltages, required for the controller and the memory devices, using an external voltage received through the interface; a distribution circuit that provides an operating voltage to the memory devices; and a discharge circuit including a first comparator that compares a first internal voltage, among the internal voltages, with a reference voltage and a second comparator that compares a second internal voltage, different from the first internal voltage, with the reference voltage, and including an operating circuit that computes an output of the first comparator and an output of the second comparator to output a discharge control signal determining whether the operating voltage has been discharged.
