Disclosed are an electronic device for obfuscating user data and a server for decoding the same. A method for controlling an electronic device according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: acquiring a security parameter according to data transmitted to an external server; applying an obfuscation algorithm to the data by using the security parameter; and transmitting the data, to which the obfuscation algorithm has been applied, to the external server. Furthermore, in connection with a method for controlling a system comprising an electronic device for obfuscating data and a server for decoding the same according to the present disclosure, a method for controlling the electronic device comprises the steps of: inserting a fingerprint into data; generating multiple pieces of split data having a preset first size on the basis of the data into which the fingerprint has been inserted; applying an obfuscation algorithm to one piece of split data selected from the multiple pieces of split data by using a preset security parameter; and transmitting the split data, to which the obfuscation algorithm has been applied, to the server. In addition, a method for controlling the server comprises the steps of: receiving the multiple pieces of split data, to which the obfuscation algorithm has been applied, from the electronic device; acquiring at least one piece of candidate data on the basis of the received multiple pieces of split data, to which the obfuscation algorithm has been applied; and acquiring data comprising the fingerprint among the at least one piece of candidate data.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for checking the status of sent and received messages in an electronic device. The method may include: setting, when a message is sent, the reception confirmation state of the sent message to “unread”; and displaying a notification window in at least one of a status display window of the electronic device, a status display window of an application program and a usage history window of the electronic device so as to present at least one sent message whose reception confirmation state is set to “unread” as being unread. The method and apparatus is operable with or without a message server between the electronic device and a counterpart device associated with the message.

The method may include: receiving, by first image reception circuitry of a first image reception unit, first image data corresponding to a first attribute parameter; receiving, by second image reception circuitry of a second image reception unit, second image data corresponding to a second attribute parameter; detecting converted image data from the first image data based on a difference in component between the first attribute parameter and the second attribute parameter; and generating compressed image data for the second image data using the converted image data.

The at least one processor may be configured to obtain data to be transmitted to a server, insert a fingerprint to the data, segment the fingerprint-inserted data into a first size to generate a plurality of segmented data, so that data in a second size is duplicated between adjacent segmented data among the plurality of segmented data, select one segmented data from among the plurality of segmented data according to a preset per-position selection probability for the plurality of segmented data, and transmit a report generated by obfuscating the selected one segmented data to the server. An apparatus and a method for controlling a display so as to reduce power consumption in an electronic device having a plurality of processors are provided. The apparatus includes a display and a control unit. The display is configured to display information formed by a first image and a second image. The first image corresponds to a partial region of the information, and the second image corresponds to a background region of the information. The control unit includes a first processor and a second processor. The processor may be configured to transmit the first image to the second processor in response to a request for displaying the information on the display.
