    Abstract: An electrode assembly and a secondary battery are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, an electrode assembly includes: a first electrode plate having a first electrode tab attached thereto; a second electrode plate having at least one second electrode tab attached thereto; and a separator between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate, the electrode assembly wound in a state in which the first electrode plate, the separator, and the second electrode plate are stacked, and the first electrode plate includes coating portions formed by coating an active material on first and second surfaces thereof, and a half-coating portion formed by coating the active material on only one of the first and second surfaces at a region corresponding to a leading edge, on the basis of a winding direction, where an active material of the second electrode plate begins.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a secondary battery, which has a reinforced strength and can simplify the manufacturing process thereof. For example, one embodiment provides a secondary battery which comprises: an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate, wherein one of the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate includes a plurality of first tabs formed to protrude in one direction; a first current collection tab coupled to the first tabs; a case housing the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly coupled to the upper part of the case, wherein the first current collection tab is coupled to one of the cap assembly and the bottom surface of the case.

    Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention relates to a secondary battery, wherein a technical problem to be solved is to provide a secondary battery which has low resistance and can output high power without loss of capacity, and can prevent deformation or cracking of an electrode assembly. To this end, the present invention provides a secondary battery comprising: a cylindrical can; an electrode assembly which is received in the cylindrical can and includes multiple first tabs extending in a first direction which is a longitudinal direction of the cylindrical can, and multiple second tabs extending in a second direction opposite to the first direction; a cap assembly for sealing the cylindrical can; a first current collecting structure which electrically connects the multiple first tabs to the cap assembly while being insulated from the cylindrical can; and a second current collecting structure for electrically connecting the multiple second tabs to the cylindrical can.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a secondary battery in which an electrode assembly and a current collection plate may be easily welded and safety may be improved. As an embodiment, disclosed is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly which is formed by winding a first electrode plate having a first electrode uncoated part, a separator, and a second electrode plate having a second electrode uncoated part, the first electrode uncoated part protruding upwards, and the second electrode uncoated part protruding downwards; and a first current collection plate which is electrically connected to the first electrode uncoated part and has a concave-convex part protruding downwards, wherein the width of the concave-convex part becomes wider from the center of the first current collection plate toward the outer periphery thereof.
