Abstract: Provided are devices and methods for automated detection of foreign keys linking database tables together. In one example, a device includes a processor that receives a plurality of tables of data, and processes an automated foreign key learning application with respect to the plurality of tables. According to various embodiments, the foreign key learning application identifies at least one foreign key that links a list of columns of a first table to a list of columns of a second table. Furthermore, an output may display a user interface including an identification of the foreign key, the first table, and the second table. Based on the system and methods described herein, the detection of foreign keys may be performed automatically instead of by manual user input thus saving significant time and expense.

Abstract: The embodiments may be adapted to accommodate a plurality of translations of a source text string into a limited available display area of a visual element in a graphical interface of a client system. Text strings in a source language may be received as input. A list of one or more languages selected for the text string to be translated into may also be received as input. The system may then be configured to obtain translations of the text string in the selected languages, to provide a set of translation vectors, and to calculate a minimum display area necessary for a visual element to display the longest translation of the translations contained in the translation vector. The display area of the visual element may then be adjusted to encompass the minimum display area so that the longest translation fits within the display area of the visual element.

Abstract: Disclosed is an improved system for performing intelligent text reduction on text strings for optimal display in a variety of user interface display elements. The system includes a smart text reduction algorithm that can shorten text strings as necessary in response to resizing the user interface or elements therein. The system also includes a design time user interface for application developers (or other users) to design graphical user interfaces in a collaborative workspace. The design time user interface incorporates the smart text reduction algorithm to enable designers to modify user interface display elements and run the text reduction algorithm on any text strings that no longer fit within the modified display elements. The described embodiments can also translate text strings of user interface display elements and can execute the smart text shortening algorithm on the translated text strings accordingly.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, an event query to an item supply chain event database is processed such that a trace extraction algorithm will be executed to determine extracted trace data. A plurality of location nodes may then be graphically represented on an interactive user display based on the extracted trace data. Similarly, a plurality of item flow edges connecting location nodes may be graphically represented on the interactive user display based on the extracted trace data. According to some embodiments, a selection from a user is received via the interactive user display, the selection being associated with at least some of the graphically represented information. Responsive to the received selection, the graphical representation may be adjusted in accordance with the extracted trace data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for multi-pass duplicate identification using sorted neighborhoods. Data comprising a plurality of data records is received. Neighborhood records are generated by merging the plurality of data records with reference records stored in a remote data store. A resource identification field is assigned to each reference record. A pair distance, for each pair of neighborhood records having different resource identification fields, is determined by calculating a standard deviation of distances between each attribute of the pair scaled by a filled pairs quote value. Possible duplicate records are identified by evaluating each pair distance against a threshold, each possible duplicate having grouped attributes. Final duplicate records are identified by matching each group to a key.

Abstract: A system and method are described herein that provide for visualizing business objects stored in a backend system in database model views for display as nodes in a user interface. Business objects are retrieved from the backend system, with metadata from the business objects being customized and sorted into a plurality of node types.
